Dr. Cristea earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his first residency at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania in 2007. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Cristea completed a second residency in Internal Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, located in Royal Oak, Michigan. He then went on to complete a Nephrology fellowship at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2019. During his fellowship he earned multiple awards including the Outstanding Fellow Award. Another noteworthy honor is his achievement of scoring in the 99th percentile on the Nephrology National Board Examination.
Dr. Cristea takes personal satisfaction in helping his patients manage their individual health concerns.
