We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ahana Sandhu to our sleep medicine team. Dr. Sandhu is a highly skilled sleep medicine physician with a wealth of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of sleep disorders. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Sandhu completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine in 2009, and went on to earn her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2016. She graduated with honors and was part of the Alpha Omega Phi Honor and Service Society.
Following medical school, Dr. Sandhu completed her Internal Medicine Residency at UCLA-Kern Medical from 2016-2019, where she served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine from 2018-2019. During her residency, she received the Robert S. Mosser Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine in 2019.
Dr. Sandhu then pursued a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Cleveland Clinic from 2019-2020, where she served as Chief Sleep Medicine Fellow. During her fellowship, she received comprehensive training in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless leg syndrome.

Pramil Vaghasia, MD, is a Board Certified Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician practicing at Prime Pulmonary & Sleep Center, which has two locations in Bakersfield and Delano, California.
Dr. Vaghasia is new to the Bakersfield community, having been raised in upstate New York. He earned his bachelor's degree from Boston University and subsequently attended medical school at Ross University. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Vaghasia and his wife moved to Bakersfield to start their family.
Dr. Vaghasia enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as playing and watching all kinds of sports, particularly basketball and tennis.

Ruchi Bansal, MD, is a Bakersfield native, and is excited to have returned to her roots and have the opportunity to serve this wonderful community of Kern County at Prime Pulmonary & Sleep Center. This Pulmonary and Sleep medicine practice has locations in Bakersfield and Delano, California.
Dr. Bansal received her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. After returning from India, she did her residency in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She then went on to do advanced fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the University of California, Davis.
She and her husband are excited to start their family. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bansal loves to travel, go to the beach, and enjoys outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, and tennis.
