Tess Chamakkala, DO, is excited to join the team at Endocrine and Psychiatry Center in Katy and Houston, Texas. As a skilled endocrinologist, Dr. Chamakkala is passionate about general adult endocrinology and managing conditions, including diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and osteoporosis.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Fordham University in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City, New York, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, she attended medical school at the New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine on Long Island. She underwent rigorous Internal Medicine residency training and later completed an Endocrinology fellowship through St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania. Yasir Akram, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, is an accomplished interventional and general cardiologist at Apex Heart & Vascular Center, serving patients in Houston, Tomball, and Cypress, Texas. Dr. James Wells joined our elite team of providers in July 2023, bringing with him over 40 years of education, training, and experience.
After graduating with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Wells began practicing Family Medicine at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. He eventually moved to Selma Family Health Care, where he continued to practice Family Medicine, until he opened his own private practice, J. Darrick Wells MD, Inc., in 1996. Dr Wells continued to provide Family Medical Care for 22 years, before transitioning into the Urgent Care field of medicine.
Dr. Wells’ awards are numerous and extensive, including: the Richard D Steed Scholar Award, the All-Academic Award, the Associated Press Honorable-Mention, & Phi Beta Kappa. During his college years, he was the Team Captain for the Rice University Football team, he received the American Spirit award, the George R. John Sunew, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a skilled cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy, Cypress and Fulshear, Texas.

Dr. Kashani grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended Second Baptist Middle School and High School. Dr. Kashani currently continues his academic interests as a Baylor College of Medicine teaching faculty.
Dr. Kashani remains active by enjoying a variety of sports. Also, he and his wife have a special interest in community service. Dr. Kashani is the President, Founder, and member of several charity organizations in Houston. One major focus of the charity organization that Dr. Kashani has established is providing health care to underprivileged children in Houston.
Rajen Mehta, MD, FACC, is a skilled cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston and Katy, Texas.
Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Mehta grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Memorial High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduated on the Dean’s List. He continued to medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He furthered his training in cardiology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he was trained in specialized invasive procedures and diagnostic imaging. He joined Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in 1998.
Dr. Mehta has expertise in cardiology, including the evaluation of common cardiac complaints such as chest pain, shortness of breath, passing out, leg swelling, and palpitations. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology, including management of high blood pressure and cholesterol disorders, as well as management of the disease after they have developed such circulatory problems of the legs, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Dr. Mehta places special emphasis on patient education. Dr. Mehta is trained in special cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography and angioplasty, pacemaker insertion, and transesophageal echocardiography. His main research has been in cardiac imaging, and he has several publications on echocardiography.
Dr. Mehta’s personal interests include playing guitar and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and golden retriever.
Anil Odhav, MD, FACC, is an expert cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston and Katy, Texas.
Dr. Odhav was born in Zambia, Africa. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Zambia, he attended the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency and a year as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor.
Dr. Odhav performed his cardiovascular training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and joined Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in January 2001.

Certification was obtained from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1995 for Internal Medicine and in 2000 for Cardiovascular Diseases. James Feldman, MD, FACC, is an exceptional cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy and Cypress, Texas.
Dr. Feldman was born in Houston, Texas. He grew up in the Memorial area and attended Memorial High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors from The University of Texas at Austin.

Yasser Al-Khadra, MD, FACC, is a highly trained cardiologist at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates in Houston, Katy, and Cypress, Texas.
Dr. Al-Khadra is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computed tomography. He completed his General Cardiology fellowship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. Then, went on for his Interventional Cardiology training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. During his fellowships, he was trained to perform high risk coronary procedures and chronic total occlusions.
Dr. Al-Khadra is well versed in multiple imaging modalities including PET scans, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography and echocardiography. He is skilled in complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, patent foramen oval occlusion and management of pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis.

Dr. Samir George Ouais is a warm, detail-oriented endocrinologist and internist treating patients in Houston and the Woodlands, Texas, and the surrounding communities. He goes into full detail when communicating with his patients and applies a goal-driven approach to treatment.
