Dr. Arash Bereliani is a world-renowned medical provider and clinical instructor leading the Preventative and Functional Cardiovascular Disease field and advancement of cardiovascular medicine. He is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular and Internal Medicine and a member of Cedars-Sinai's prestigious Center of Excellence. He is known for providing the best patient care in his field.
As one of the most sought-after cardiologists in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, Dr. B is proud that in 20 years of being a cardiologist, not a single compliant patient has died under his care from a heart attack. And that's how it should be, he insists. "No one should die of heart disease before the age of 100," he says.
Dr. Bereliani, who hails from a family of physicians and surgeons, lived through his father's heart disease, and that sparked his interest in helping others stay heart healthy. His approach is to identify his patients' biomarkers and genetic predispositions, as well as how they live their lives. "I want to know the lifestyle habits, state of mind, and socioeconomic factors of my patients, all of which play such an important role in the progression of their heart disease," he says.
"On a daily basis, I commit myself to hours of studying what is new in the world of cardiology, so I can provide my patients with the most advanced testing and screening available, as well as an integrative approach to treatment options," he says.
Bereliani, author of the bestselling book, Heart Attack, Will It Happen to Me?, is in the process of creating B100, a cardiologist-backed, home-based test, to be available this summer.
Through his practice, which combines cardiology, preventive medicine, and health optimization, Bereliani is committed to showing the path to a healthy life. "The best part of the job? Saving lives and helping people live long lives without heart disease."
Dr. B completed his undergraduate degree, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in 1993. He received his full medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences in Chicago, where he was ranked number one in his graduating class (of 192 students) from medical school, receiving numerous awards and honors that included being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society, an elite fraternity to which only the top 10% of medical students in the country are invited.
He went on to complete his internal medicine internship and residency at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in 2000. He also completed his cardiology fellowship at UCLA during the same year, finishing his medical education. His cardiology research and clinical interests in medical school were primarily focused on nuclear cardiology and cardiac imaging.
Dr. B has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine since 2003. He is also on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s renowned Center of Excellence and is the Medical Director at The Beverly Hills Institute of Cardiology and Preventive Medicine. The Center of Excellence is home to other luminaries in the cardiology field, such as Dr. Jeremy Swan and Dr. P.K. Shah. Dr. Bereliani's duties here include teaching medical students completing their residency and cardiology fellowship and conducting active research in cardiac imaging.
Dr. Bereliani's private practice is uniquely positioned amongst an extremely small group practice of cardiologists worldwide, who possess in-depth knowledge and specialty in functional and orthomolecular medicine to apply an integrative approach that seeks to use all scientific and proven methods available (not just medication) to identify and treat heart disease through interventional cardiology. Such methods used by medical staff at the operating company include echocardiography to produce electrocardiograms, cardioversion for atrial fibrillation, cardiac catheterization, nuclear cardiology, ECG, and more.
As a leader in the field of Preventive Cardiology, he specializes in incorporating the latest cutting-edge research and advanced genetic testing, along with highly specialized and sophisticated biomarkers to predict an individual’s chance of developing significant cardiovascular disease within specified subsequent years. Dr. B creates a personalized, comprehensive treatment approach for each individual patient. In treating his patients, both those with and without cardiovascular disease, he combines the best of traditional and integrative medicine.
Dr. B is a strong believer in the idea that most forms of heart disease, and even heart failure, are entirely preventable. It's also possible to prevent symptoms of poor cardiovascular health, such as high blood pressure and even chronic conditions like arrhythmia. A great thing about modern medical science is that there are actually tests for risk biomarkers for heart health, including coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure, that can show abnormalities that are risk factors years, and even decades, in advance. With such cutting-edge screenings available, the progression of heart conditions can usually be prevented. Even better, if these risk factors are detected early enough, preventing progression can generally be accomplished through natural preventive care tools and practices, like diet, exercise, and basic lifestyle changes.
When asked about some of the greatest misconceptions about heart health and heart disease, he said one of the most concerning misconceptions is the idea that if you can pass a cholesterol panel or standard EKG treadmill test at your primary care physician's office, then you aren't at risk for heart problems. In reality, people with "good" cholesterol levels have heart attacks every day, and an EKG test generally only detects large blockages in arteries. Many patients who suffer heart attacks or who develop heart disease have small blockages in arteries that these tests won't detect. He also stresses that cholesterol isn't nearly the only risk factor for coronary artery disease and that more risk factors need to be tested.
Dr. Bereliani and his office staff provide only the best in compassionate care for his patients and Concierge Services for those who are interested in promoting heart wellness. Dr. B strives to give back to his community through his fundraising efforts to further heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s research. Equally important, he created a non-profit organization to help patients with no or low income get access to heart disease testing. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, daughter, and dog, and loves to raise his adrenaline by getting behind the wheel of his Porsche at the racetrack!
If you need to see more, look at Dr. Bereliani's stunning reviews on sites like Healthgrades, Zocdoc, and many more to see why he's considered the best cardiologist in California and Beverly Hills Internal Medicine. Of course, you can always choose to read his book, Heart Attack: Will it happen to me? as well. It's a must-read if you're concerned about heart health for either yourself or your loved ones. You'll learn about what factors really cause heart attacks, the most recent advances in heart health, and how you can effectively prevent heart disease in your life.
Dr. Bereliani's book is a definitive source on all things related to cardiovascular health, so if you've been overwhelmed or confused by the amount of conflicting information and myths out there, this is the book for you. You'll learn everything you need to know about the factors to watch out for and the lifestyle changes you should make to help your loved ones and yourself live longer lives. Cut through the shams and irrelevant information to discover the real truth about heart attacks with Dr. B!

Many people discover their passion later in life, but Dr. Nassir has always been firmly devoted to the science of healing. From the early age of fourteen, he knew he would pursue a career in the medical field.
His formal post-secondary education began in Canada at the University of Toronto. After completing two years of undergraduate studies, he moved to the United States to finish his degree at UCLA, one of California’s top research institutions. Dr. Nassir’s time at the University of California, Los Angeles, was integral in his future success as an esteemed physician. His passion for the healing arts fueled his studies, earning him acclaim among his peers and educators.
By the time Dr. Nassir graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 1992, he was well-traveled, steeped in the knowledge of medical research, and eager to continue pursuing his passion for healing. Upon completing his undergraduate studies at UCLA, Dr. Nassir enrolled at the prestigious Cornell University Medical College in New York, one of the country’s most renowned medical schools. Here, he received the highly respected American Foundation for Urological Disease Research Scholarship for his outstanding performance in the program.
Dr. Nassir’s academic career at Cornell University was reaching new horizons when his father was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 prostate cancer. To be near his family during his father’s final months, Dr. Nassir made the difficult decision to transfer his medical schooling to UCLA. As he supported his father through his cancer treatment, he witnessed the vital role that oncologists play in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Through this pivotal, first-hand experience, Dr. Nassir realized his calling in the field of oncology.
After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1996, Dr. Nassir continued his medical training as an intern and resident for the next three years at UCLA Medical Center. In 1999, he chose to attend USC Medical Center and Norris Cancer Center as a hematology and oncology fellow, where he completed his hematology/oncology fellowship under the guidance of world-class mentors in both fields.
Dr. Nassir has been in practice for more than twenty years. He currently practices at his private practice, Cancer Care Institute, and is independently affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His success in his field can be attributed not only to his exceptional medical training and unshaken persistence but also to a deep and personal understanding of cancer and patient care.
Dr. Nassir understands that there is no such thing as “standard cancer,” so there shouldn’t be a standard approach to treating the disease. Instead, he takes a highly individualized, collaborative approach to patient care, offering novel therapies that are uniquely suited to your needs and circumstances.
As cancer is a chronic disease, Dr. Nassir provides long-term care to help ensure the most positive possible outcomes. He has a unique understanding of the disease and stays with you and your family every step of the way, offering therapies, treatments, and dietary advice to help you make guided, well-informed decisions about your care.
Today, Dr. Nassir’s reputation is widely celebrated in his community. Ratings from his patients and their families consistently spotlight his expertise and unyielding, compassionate approach. He is known as a gifted doctor and a compassionate man who strives daily to deliver hope and save lives.
In regard to his life mission and work, Dr. Nassir notes, “My hope is to continue to improve the quality of life for cancer patients, to turn incurable cancer from a death sentence into a chronic, manageable disease where people can live much longer and have satisfying lives.” Dr. Nassir is fortunate and humbled to have the opportunity to bring hope to cancer patients through individualized care and targeted cancer therapies.
