Aung Tun, MD, FACC, is a skilled cardiologist at the Florida Heart, Vein and Vascular Institute, serving Zephyrhills, Lakeland, Plant City, Wesley Chapel, and Riverview, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar.
He completed residency and gained hospital experience in the United Kingdom, where he passed the examination for Membership in the Royal Colleges of Physicians. He then brought his skills to the United States, completing his internal medicine residency at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and his cardiology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. Finally, he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He has many publications in various cardiology journals.
