From Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Weckesser moved to the west coast of Florida in 1949. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He then completed his internship and residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Maryland in College Park.
Dr. Weckesser spent 18 years in the private practice of cardiology in Baltimore, where he served as the director of the Coronary Care Unit at Mercy Hospital. He also spent two years in the Armed Forces as a United States Army Major, including one year in Vietnam.

Dr. Akintade is board certified in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, possessing additional training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, as well as Urgent Care. She has extensive experience in primary care and public health, Occupational Safety, and Health Administration sectors and is a Certified Medical Review Officer as well as a Department of Transportation Medical Examiner. Additionally, Dr. Akintade is experienced in Utilization Management and Healthcare Quality Improvement and has a Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt. She is licensed in multiple states including Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Dr. Akintade is also a Major in the US Army Reserves. She is happily married with 2 boys and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
