Thomas J. Purgason, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician who has practiced in Arlington, Texas since 1982. Dr. Purgason graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He did his internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma Tulsa Medical College. He is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Physicians. In addition, Dr. Purgason serves as a clinical instructor for the University of Texas at Arlington Nurse Practitioner program and UTMB and UT Southwestern schools of medicine. He is clinically affiliated with UT Southwestern making all of the resources of the medical school more easily accessible to his patients.
Dr. Purgason practices adolescent and adult medicine. He has held numerous leadership positions in the community and was the youngest physician to receive the Arlington Physician of the Year Award from the Arlington Medical Society. He has served as Chief of Staff at Medical City Arlington and Chief of the Department of Medicine. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Medical City Arlington since 2010. Dr. Purgason also serves in leadership positions at his alma mater institutions.
His philosophy of practice is to provide prompt, thorough care and diagnosis. He strives to be available if the need is urgent and to provide comprehensive care even during hospitalization. Doctor Kouri is a lover of people. He comes to us from a background of practicing urgent care and occupational medicine for the last seven years. He was the managing physician of an integrated care clinic in San Diego, CA. Prior to specializing in urgent care, he practiced family medicine for nine years in the US Navy at Camp Pendleton, CA and private practice on an Indian reservation in Temecula, CA. He, his wife, and five sons recently moved to Fort Worth, TX to grow the family and practice integrated functional medicine at our clinic. He welcomes new patients and looks forward to seeing you.

Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in the DFW area, Dr. Soederbaum is a true Texan born and bred. She attended James Bowie High School in Arlington and completed her Bachelor's in Biology from the University of North Texas (UNT).
She completed her intern year at the University of Mississippi in Internal Medicine before transferring to complete her training in Family Medicine at the prestigious UT Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland.
Since residency, Dr. Soederbaum has been practicing in Mansfield and has spent over six years building relationships with her patients while training UTSW medical students. She also received private hands-on aesthetic training under Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Doohi Lee.
Over the years, Dr. Soederbaum has developed a passion for helping patients achieve their own unique and highly personalized aesthetic goals. Her technique of administering injectables like botox and dermal fillers prioritizes a natural result, giving patients a more refreshed and youthful look. She makes these aesthetics services available to patients at LIV MED family practice.
Dr. Soederbaum is also a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She comes from a large, loving, diverse family and speaks Spanish fluently.
In 2016, Dr. Soederbaum married her Swedish soul mate, Joakim, and together they have three beautiful little boys. Dr. Soederbaum enjoys traveling, trips to the park or zoo, running, and every opportunity to spend time with her boys.
