I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. From a young age, I was fascinated by innovation and the human experience. Early in life, I assumed a caregiving role for multiple family members, inspiring my pursuit of medicine. During my undergraduate years at the University of Idaho in Moscow, I co-created a viral TED talk titled “A Crash Course in Organic Chemistry” with my mentor, Dr. Jakob Magolan, and worked in a multidisciplinary video game studio with my computer science and genetics professors.
After graduating with degrees in microbiology, molecular biology, and biotechnology, I went on to the University of Colorado School of Medicine where I served as executive producer on an upcoming documentary, “Diversity and Inclusion in Medicine: The Journey.” I’m passionate about nearly every discipline within and outside of medicine, and am eager to begin this residency as an internist at Sky Ridge Hospital.
In addition to mastering the skills to become an excellent physician, I am committed to finding creative ways to bring comfort and joy to his patients during their most challenging times.
I’m from Big Spring, Texas. I played volleyball at ASU before going to medical school at Kansas City University Medical School in Joplin, MO.
I had never heard of Internal Medicine before my third-year rotations, but then fell in love, switched specialties that month, and I now plan to be a hospitalist.
I had only been to Denver a couple of times before coming here recently, and now I absolutely love it and hope to stay here. I moved here with my boyfriend Casey and our two dogs, Arlo and Pippy. We are looking forward to skiing, hiking, playing video games at home and enjoying all the types of the local sports that Denver offers. We are especially excited about football, as everyone in my family is a huge Broncos fan. I’m hoping that my two sisters and parents will visit frequently!
I was born and raised in Southern California, and I have already had theopportunity to call several states and countries home. I did my undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Idaho where I earned a degree in Biology. Then, I started medical school at Trinity School of Medicine on the lovely island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and finished in the state of Georgia.
My desire to enter medicine started when I was an Emergency Medical Technician in Idaho. Through my medical school training, I found my passion to be in internal medicine. Outside of my work in medicine, I enjoy playing soccer, outdoor activities with my wife and kids, andfixing things.
Dr. Walker is a board-certified Internal Medicine practitioner who specializes in preventive care. Throughout the past two years, Dr. Walker has been working in our office. During this time that we have all worked side-by-side, Dr. Walker has demonstrated that he is the right doctor to join our practice. My staff and I have been impressed and we all immediately observed that he is a talented doctor who thrives on building positive and longstanding relationships with each one of his patients. Dr. Walker grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. After enjoying high school and playing a lot of basketball, he became focused on a career in medicine, starting his education with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After working successfully as an engineer with substantial success in working with artificial heart pumps to help cardiology patients, he determined that he wanted to pursue his longstanding dream and become a physician. He received his medical education at Rocky Vista University College of Medicine here in Colorado.
Dr. Walker’s focus is Internal Medicine and Preventive Care. His particular areas of experience and professional interest range from managing diabetes and cardiovascular challenges to musculoskeletal injuries. He is well equipped to address any patient concerns and conditions.
When not focusing on his patients, he may be enjoying time with his wife and three boys, playing golf, or cooking on his BBQ.

Dr. Brewington grew up in California and completed her medical training on the east coast, but has considered Colorado her home since moving here in 2003. Following residency, she opened her own clinic in Ft. Collins and later joined a small private practice, where she cared for patients until her youngest son was born. She then stayed home to focus on raising her two boys before relocating to Boulder County, and joined Westmed in 2017. Her favorite activities outside of clinic include reading, crafts, hiking, and doing just about anything with family.
