He completed his Internal Medicine residency program at the University of Arizona. Before attending the University of Arizona, he was the ER Medical Director at Del Prado Hospital. Dr. Trujillo finished two fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology from Texas Tech University Health and Sciences Center in Lubbock.

Dr. Trujillo has extensive background in the most up to date cardiovascular procedures. These include coronary, carotids and peripheral vascular interventions, nuclear gamma camera, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac PET scan, implantation of pacemakers, vein mapping, and ablations. He performs advanced cardiovascular consultations and procedures with compassion and empathy.
