George Sopko, MD, MPH, specializes in cardiology and internal medicine and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. At Seven Corners Medical Center in Falls Church, Virginia, Dr. Sopko focuses on integrative care methods to truly understand patient needs, treating the whole person in addition to their presenting symptoms.
During his residency training, Dr. Sopko developed a passion for lowering cholesterol and heart disease risks through a good diet and exercise plan. At Seven Corners Medical Center, he works closely with patients and provides them with the tools they need to maintain heart health and total wellness. Dr. Sopko customizes patient-centered treatment plans for high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Dr. Sopko earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, one of the top research universities in the United States. He also completed a postgraduate degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and finished his residency and fellowship training at Georgetown University Medical Center and District of Columbia General Hospital, both in Washington, DC.

Dr. Afsane Haddad has been practicing cardiology in Northern Virginia and serving the Washington DC Metropolitan Area for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She finished medical school, residency, and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Georgetown University. She currently holds a certificate from the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. McLean Cardiology has a highly professional and trained staff who will assist you in every way, from handling paperwork and insurance-related issues to prepping you for visits. We provide a professional and caring environment to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
Our interest is to be a help guide our patients experiencing complex cardiac issues. Your heart is not an isolated organ. We recognized from early on, that in order to achieve the best possible outcome, we needed to fully grasp our patients’ entire interacting medical issues.
