Dr. Kamran Boka has been with StatCare practicing pulmonary and critical care medicine since 2019. He completed his medical training in Detroit, Michigan, including an internship and residency in internal medicine at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, now Ascension, and his pulmonary critical care medicine fellowship from Henry Ford Health System. Dr. Boka previously practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine at a large academic university center, where his responsibilities included attending to critically ill patients in various subspecialty ICUs, maintaining his pulmonary clinic, and educating medical residents, pulmonary and critical care fellows, and medical students.
His special interests include bedside critical care medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, community medical education, and electronic-ICU.
Dr. Boka's approach to patients has been and continues to be compassionate bedside care; he performs this thorough in-depth empathic discussions with patients and their families. By conducting multidisciplinary rounding styles, he engages families, nurses, and critical care support teams on his rounds. Since practicing in academics, he continues to be a passionate educator who believes in a dedicated effort of further educating junior physicians and advanced practice practitioners on how to listen to patients, their needs, and desires, and that technology should only be used to augment and supplement the human touch.
He has consulted, led, and directed efforts on how to use social media in medicine and the education and practice of bedside critical care ultrasound (POCUS) at different programs. Among earning excellence in teaching awards, Dr. Boka has been nominated Physician of the Year and has won the honor of Top Doctors. He has held the national section editorial board position of Social Media Co-Editor for CHEST and its CHEST journal. He is a member of CHEST (American College of Chest Physicians) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Boka spends his free time creating art through ink and digital media. He enjoys fitness, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Brunson comes to StatCare to practice in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. He graduated from Rhodes College in 1988. Dr. Brunson completed Residency at the University of Alabama and his Fellowship at University of Tennessee. He received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2012, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1999 in which he currently remains board certified. Dr. Brunson is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and Air Medical Physician Association, and Tennessee Medical Association.
Dr. Antonucci comes to StatCare to practice in the field of hospitalist internal medicine. He graduated from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in NYC in 1980. Dr. Antonucci completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of TX in Houston in1983. He then completed a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of N. Carolina Chapel Hill in 1986. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. Dr. Antonucci was a practicing Oncologist for 30 years prior to joining StatCare. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Coffey earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 1989 and his doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of Florida 1994. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Michigan in 2001. He received board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2001 and remains board certified. Dr. Coffey has been in practice as an internal medicine hospitalist with StatCare since 2001.
Dr. Munteanu comes to StatCare to practice in the field of hospitalist internal medicine. He graduated from Carol Davila University in 1995. Dr. Munteanu completed Residency in 2000. Dr. Munteanu graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania in 1995. She has been happy to work as a StatCare Internal Medicine physician since 2001, right after she completed her Internal Medicine residency training with Meridia Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2001 and she obtained her recertification in 2011, and again in 2021. Dr. Munteanu is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association and Knoxville Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Patel comes to StatCare to practice in the field of hospitalist family medicine. He graduated from University of Silesia in 2008. Dr. Patel completed Residency in 2013 at The University of Alabama. He received his board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine in 2013 and remains currently certified.
Dr. Oberlin completed his his undergraduate degree in laboratory science from Grand Valley State University in 1994. After a five year career as a medical technologist and laboratory research he went to medical school and graduated from Kigezi International School of Medicine in Cambridge UK in 2003. Following this completed Internal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University/Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center in 2007. After residency he worked in primary care for two years while also being a medical director of a nursing home. In 2009 Dr. Oberlin moved to Tennessee with his family to work as a hospitalist at Tennova Turkey. His career at StatCare began in 2011. He has three children and a wife who is a pediatrician at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Together they enjoy cooking, traveling, going to any number of their children’s activities, but most of all just enjoy doing nothing!
Dr. Meyette comes to StatCare to practice in the field of hospitalist internal medicine. He graduated from St. George’s University in 2003. Dr. Meyette completed Residency in 2006 at Munson Medical Center/Michigan State University, Traverse City, MI. He received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2006. Dr. Meyette is a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Reichert practices pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with StatCare. He graduated from Southern Illinois University, Springfield, IL. Dr. Reichert completed both Residency and his Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. He received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005, Pulmonary Medicine in 2007, Critical Care in 2008, Sleep Medicine in 2011, and remains currently board certified in these fields. Dr. Reichert is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the ACP-ASIM.
Dr. Bashar Bargoty is a Pulmonologist in Knoxville, TN and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center and Parkwest Medical Center. Dr. Bargoty received his medical degree from University of Baghdad College of Medicine and then completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. He began working with StatCare in 2015.
Dr. Bargoty is board certified in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and is experienced in Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Interstitial lung disease, Pleural effusions, Lung nodules, Lung cancer, Pulmonary Hypertension, and all aspects of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Bargoty is an experienced Interventional Pulmonologist and performs advanced pulmonary diagnostics utilizing bronchoscopic computer navigation and endobronchial ultrasound techniques for diagnosing lung lesions. He has several medical research publications and had received the American Thoracic Society Abstract Scholarship Award at The American Thoracic Society International Conference, 2014.
Dr. Bargoty enjoys teaching medical students and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Outside of his busy practice, Dr. Bargoty likes to enjoy outdoor activities around Knoxville and the Smokey Mountains with his wife and two children. He is fluent in English, Arabic and knows basic Hebrew.
Dr. Miller comes to StatCare practicing in the field of hospitalist internal medicine. Dr. Miller graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003 where he also completed his Residency in 2006. Dr. Weaver comes to StatCare practicing in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. He specializes in pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2002. Dr. Weaver completed Residency in 2005 and his Fellowship in 2008 at the University of Kentucky. He received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005, Pulmonary Disease in 2008 and Critical Care Medicine in 2009 and remains board certified in both fields. Dr. Weaver is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and Pulmonary Hypertension Association PHCR.
Dr. Orthoefer practices as an internal medicine hospitalist with Stat Care. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Memphis in 1997. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville in 2000. He received board certification in general internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2000, and he received certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine with a focused practice in hospital medicine in 2010. He continues to maintain certification in hospital medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Arabiat joined StatCare in 2022 to practice pulmonary & critical care medicine. He graduated from the University of Jordan and completed Residency at UIC Advocate Christ Medical Center. He completed his Critical Care Fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and his Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center at Bowling Green. Dr. Arabiat received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2018, Pulmonary Medicine in 2022, and Critical Care Medicine in 2020. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
