About Dr. Hussaini

   

In 2019, internist Azra Hussaini, MD, FACP, opened The Doc’s Here, offering telemedicine and house calls to patients. As of 2022, she is also offering in-office visits. The hope of Dr. Hussaini is to provide more accessible, patient-centered primary care to patients in Maryland, with a recent expansion to telemedicine in New York and Virginia as well. Dr. Hussaini welcomes all patients to her practice, no matter their beliefs, religions, cultures, sexuality, or backgrounds. For patients that do not have health care, she will find a way to help them.

Dr. Hussaini decided to run her practice by trying to walk in her patient’s shoes. This means she sees her patients in an unhurried fashion, and as many times it takes to satisfy their concerns. Rather than spending the average six minutes with a patient, she spends a full hour, if needed, speaking to them and addressing their needs. Additionally, she only asks patients to pay what they can afford. This vision was shaped by her training, in which she worked with patients from diverse age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.

In 1990, Dr. Hussaini finished her medical education at the Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. Afterward, she moved to the United States to pursue a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai’s Elmhurst Hospital Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in geriatrics at the Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland & Foleys' Elder Health Center. In 1997, she moved to Baltimore with her family and received her board certification in internal medicine.

Having trained in Pakistan and the US, Dr. Hussaini considers herself an energetic, adaptable, and culturally sensitive practitioner. In her practice, she enjoys opportunities to work as an individual or in a team to address patient needs, from wellness exams to chronic care management and mental health evaluations.

Susan George, MD completed her medical training at Medical College Trivandrum and completed her residency at Medstar Harbour Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  She joined Seven Corners Medical Center in May of 2022. 

As a board-certified internal medicine physician, Anu George, MD, provides her patients with comprehensive care for a variety of health conditions. At Seven Corners Medical Center in Falls Church, Virginia, Dr. George takes an integrative approach to diagnosing and treating patients. Brooke is a Clinical Mental Health Intern with a solid educational foundation and extensive hands-on experience in the mental health field. She is working towards a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has a Master’s in Health Administration, with a Bachelor’s in Community Health and Human Services. With this diverse academic background, Brooke is equipped to approach mental health care from a holistic and integrated perspective. Brooke specializes in treating individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including substance abuse, adjustment issues, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and anger management. She works with clients to build resilience and develop effective coping strategies, utilizing evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT. Anita Banerjee, MD, FACC, is an experienced cardiology specialist at Premier Cardiac and Vascular in Annandale and Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a female cardiologist and patient-centered physician who, instead of just prescribing medications, focuses on helping her patients make lifestyle changes to improve heart health.

After securing a scholarship and earning her medical degree from Odessa National Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine, Dr. Banerjee went on to complete her residency training in Internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. She remained there to complete her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, specializing in Non-Invasive Cardiology. She also performed extensive research in Heart Failure under Drs. Thierry LeJemtel and Edmund Sonnenblick and has published in leading cardiology journals. She has been practicing cardiology for 16 years, 11 of which have been in the midst of the Fredericksburg community.

Dr. Banerjee provides comprehensive cardiology care, from prevention of cardiovascular disease to disease management of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular heart disease, as well as atrial fibrillation, aneurysms, and stroke. She has a special focus on the management of heart failure. She uses the latest advancements in medical technology to evaluate and optimize cardiovascular health.

She is certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Banerjee is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds a Virginia state medical license.

Sohan R. Varma, MD, is an internal medicine physician at Washington Internal Medicine in Chantilly, Virginia. Dr. Varma is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and provides comprehensive patient-centered medical care to patients in Northern Virginia.

His focus of research has been chronic Hepatitis B and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Varma has co-authored a case report published in Chest Journal on Dengue Shock Syndrome in 2015.

In addition to heading Laser Lisse, Dr. Farrell practices outpatient medicine with her father and two sisters at Frekko Primary Care in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She is on staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and is a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society, MedChi, and Georgetown Clinical Society.
