Nikeva Johnson’s desire to become a physician started at a young age due to her admiration for her Pediatrician. This was solidified by her love of the sciences and passion to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate studies at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. Her activities included shadowing Primary Care physicians and volunteering at the Atlanta VA Medical Center ER. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of GA in Augusta, GA.
During her medical school training, Dr. Johnson developed an interest in Internal Medicine due to her desire to care for the whole patient. She attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA for intern and residency training. She decided to focus on Primary Care because of her love of the relationships formed between patients and families as a Primary Care Physician.
In her leisure time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, singing, and being involved in her church.
Himanshi Chopra, MD, is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician who holds special interest in preventative medicine, dermatology, women’s health, and outpatient procedures. She is trained in Nexplanon and IUD insertions, Botox ® for migraine injections, and neurotoxin and filler cosmetic injections. Dr. Chopra attended Purdue University for undergraduate education. She went on to earn her medical degree from International Medical University in St. Lucia. She completed and excelled in her Family Medicine Residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Michigan, where she was the Chief Resident of her program. During her Residency, Dr. Chopra was very active with the community, something she dedicates to the teachings of her father. She spearheaded many quality improvement projects, research projects, and patient education projects. As a result, Dr. Chopra was awarded the prestigious Graduate Medical Education Excellence Award by AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) in 2021. This award recognized her as one of the top 12 resident physicians in the country. She attributes this award to her educators and patients without whom she would not be able to apply her passion. Dr. Chopra is dedicated to caring for, educating, and comforting her patients. She likes to collaborate with her patients and encourages them to be an active participant in their health. Her vision is to help her patients live their healthiest life. Atlanta is home to Dr. Chopra and she is delighted to be back. She enjoys her private time with her husband, family and friends. She grew up as a competitive swimmer, rower, and fencer. Her interests include food, fitness, and furry animals.

Faye Vargas, MD, is a board-certified internist with more than 20 years of professional experience. Serving patients in the Greater Atlanta, Georgia, region for nearly a decade. Dr. Vargas currently works at Mariposa Medical Associates in Smyrna, Georgia.
Dr. Vargas graduated cum laude from an accelerated seven-year medical program at City University of New York City College, in New York City, with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences in 1997. She soon enrolled in New York University School of Medicine, graduating with her medical doctorate in 1999.
Since graduating from medical school, Dr. Vargas has completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. She completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, through Harvard Medical School, where she also served as a clinical fellow.
Dr. Vargas is trained in all aspects of internal medicine and primary care, including but not limited to the diagnosis and management of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. She emphasizes the importance of preventive medicine and believes diet, exercise, and certain lifestyle changes can have a significant effect on a patient’s overall health and sense of well-being.

Dr. Ned Okarter is a graduate of Rutgers Medical School of New Jersey and has been practicing medicine for the last fifteen years. Dr. Okarter has significant experience in hospital medicine and outpatient clinical medicine. In addition to his work in New York, New Jersey and Georgia, he continues to provide medical services overseas with Impact Life International during medical missions in the Caribbean and Africa. Dr. Okarter is passionate about his patients and emphasizes the importance of preventative medicine. He is married with two daughters and is an avid sports fan.
Dr. Bowman is a 1981 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina Pediatric Residency (1984), and Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (1987) from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During almost 20 years of caring for children with cancer, Dr. Bowman became interested in Eastern Medicine, and is certified in medical acupuncture (2010) through the Helms Medical Institute, UCLA. She is board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology, medical acupuncture, and addiction medicine.
Combining her areas of expertise, she provides supportive medical, pediatric, oncology care and pain management. Dr. Bowman offers assessment and pharmacologic treatment of concentration disorders (ADD, ADHD) and substance use disorders (alcohol, opioid, stimulants, nicotine). She is credentialed to prescribe buprenorphine and Suboxone.
