Anita Banerjee, MD, FACC, is an experienced cardiology specialist at Premier Cardiac and Vascular in Annandale and Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a female cardiologist and patient-centered physician who, instead of just prescribing medications, focuses on helping her patients make lifestyle changes to improve heart health.

After securing a scholarship and earning her medical degree from Odessa National Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine, Dr. Banerjee went on to complete her residency training in Internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. She remained there to complete her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, specializing in Non-Invasive Cardiology. She also performed extensive research in Heart Failure under Drs. Thierry LeJemtel and Edmund Sonnenblick and has published in leading cardiology journals.
