Dr. Lalehzari is a native of Chicagoland, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated magna cum laude with high departmental distinction. She then received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin with an honors in research distinction. She completed her internal medicine residency at Yale University with a clinical research distinction. She then moved back home to Chicago to complete her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Northwestern University.
During her fellowship, Dr. Lalehzari focused her research efforts on improving quality of endoscopic training for GI fellows. Dr. Lalehzari strives to provide personalized care to each and every patient through a holistic approach which incorporates both physical and mental wellbeing. She appreciates the importance of the patient-physician relationship and wants each patient to play an active role in shared decision-making through open communication.

Michael Flicker, MD, is an experienced gastroenterologist at Advanced GI LLC, serving patients in the Lake View/Lincoln Park area of Chicago, Illinois as well as patients who hail from various other neighborhoods throughout the Chicagoland area. He proudly provides comprehensive gastroenterology care using advanced procedures and a holistic approach.
Dr. Flicker attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his undergraduate degree and graduated magna cum laude. In 2004, he went on to graduate from the University of Chicago, receiving his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago Hospital before continuing his education with a gastroenterology fellowship at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Returning to his roots, Dr. Flicker returned to Chicago for an advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. After serving as a faculty member of Northwestern from 2011-2012, he moved on to work in private practice.
Dr. Flicker is currently the Section Chief of Gastroenterology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

After graduating from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH with a Bachelors of Science in Natural Sciences, Dr. Dhamija earned his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago followed by fellowship training in gastroenterology at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He also completed subspecialty fellowship training in Hepatology at University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
Post-fellowship, Dr. Dhamija worked in academics as a clinical assistant professor at a hospital associated with Midwestern University where he spent time teaching medical students and residents while training gastroenterology fellows.

Darrien Gaston, MD, FACP, FACG, is a gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the digestive tract. Located in the Beverly area of Chicago at Metropolitan Gastroenterology Consultants, Dr. Gaston addresses everything from ulcerative colitis to colon cancer.
