Dr. Vander Woude graduated as valedictorian of his medical school class at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he was given the Dean’s Award and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his three-year ophthalmology residency at University of Florida in Gainesville, during which he was elected as chief resident. Liliana Awan, MD, FAAFP, AAFP, is a board-certified family physician at Medical Center of Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida.
