Robert Mmereole, MD, is a board-certified family practitioner offering comprehensive medical care at his practice, Mmereole Health, in West New York, New Jersey. He welcomes new and established patients whether they need care for an acute illness or management of chronic disease. His experiences in surgery, OB/GYN, family medicine, and treating patients with burns have broadened his understanding of how each patient might feel when they walk into the office.
Dr. Mmereole started his career in chemical engineering, then decided to pursue medicine at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. After graduating with his medical degree, he completed a transitional year internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City before entering his residency training.
Dr. Mmereole finished a family medicine residency at the State University of New York (SUNY), Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. He also completed a general surgery residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He holds active certification from the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Saltzman realized a calling to medicine during the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis in New York City in the mid-eighties. Prior to entering the field of medicine Dr. Saltzman worked in the music business for record companies and publishers. Moving in the NYC club scene of the nineties, Dr. Saltzman saw many of her friends and colleagues become ill with AIDS. She observed the rampant prejudice and stigma that LGBTQ people and IV drug users suffered, and committed herself to becoming a physician specializing in HIV/AIDS.
Despite not having a background in the sciences Dr. Saltzman was able to earn admission to medical school, while supporting herself as a single parent. After medical school, she chose to do her residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City, whichwas at the forefront of providing specialized treatment for patients with HIV/AIDS. After completing her residency, she practiced at the Samuels Clinic at Roosevelt Hospital (now The Institute for Advanced Medicine at Mount Sinai), a major outpatient center for patients during the epidemic. While practicing at the Samuels Clinic, Dr. Saltzman was an early prescriber of the “triple cocktail”, the first effective combination therapy for HIV. Dr. Saltzman’s interest in addiction was born out of her experience providing care for HIV/AIDS patients who were often IV drug users. She was one of the first physicians in New York City to embrace the use of Suboxone, a novel medication for the treatment of opiate addiction, that allows patients to access treatment without daily clinic visits as is the case with methadone therapy. Suboxone was one of the first therapies approved for in-office prescribing under the federal Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000. By prescribing Suboxone on an outpatient basis Dr. Saltzman is able to help patients get back to their work and family, and functioning at a high level.
Dr. Saltzman founded her busy Midtown Health and Wellness Center in 2000. She focuses on providing individualized care, realizing that patients need more than the standardized approach for addiction treatment. Dr. Saltzman provides guidance through all stages of recovery, supporting patients with primary care, individual and group therapy. She feels addiction is treated incorrectly in many settings with a focus on simply handing out prescriptions, instead of a more comprehensive approach. Dr. Saltzman is a well-known expert in the field of addiction and regularly expresses her views on television, radio, and in the press. She uses warmth and humor to engage with her patients. She understands where they’re coming from and does not judge them, using empathy andcompassion to deliver the most appropriate individualized treatment options.
My name is Alexander Trost and I am a fellowship-trained Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner specializing in advanced illness symptom management and goals-of-care discussions. I have been practicing Palliative Medicine for approximately 8 years now. Prior to this, I worked as an emergency room nurse. I switched to Palliative Medicine due to a significant loss in my family. At that time, we were never offered the palliative care needed to lessen the trauma of a loved one’s final moments. That inspired me to learn the tools of relief palliative medicine offers so that no one else has to endure the failures of care my family did. I am eager to use my knowledge and experience to help you to the best of my ability.

Dr Aziz retrained with the the American Academy of Anti-aging in Functional Medicine. Dr. Aziz authored "The Perfect 10 Diet." A diet that encourages full-fat products from butter to whole milk. It was in sharp contrast to the low-fat diet dogma. The Perfect 10 Diet was also different from both low-carb and keto diets as it didn't allow any chemicals such as nitrites or artifical sweeteners, not just sugar.
The Perfect 10 Diet helped thousands of his patients live better and improve their health. His patients dropped tons of weight, normalized their blood pressure, and improved their cholesterol naturally. He was compelled to get the message out to the masses in a book. The Perfect 10Diet which started in the office as pamphlets was now a book in the spotlight. The Perfect 10 Diet and Dr. Michael Aziz were featured on the cover of "First for Women," one of the largest distributed magazines in the United States. I'm Dr. Valerie Lyon, and it's a pleasure to welcome you to Lyon Primary Care, in Midtown, New York, NY.
The doctor-patient relationship is ideally a long-term collaboration. You and I work together to help keep you healthy, and if difficulties should arise, we want you to know you can look to us for supportive, attentive and skilled medical care.
Though most of my patients are young women, often new to New York, I also see many others, both male and female, whom I’ve worked with since I started in private practice more than two decades ago.
I perform many of the same clinical services an internist does, but as a family practitioner, much of my work also involves routine office gynecology, including Pap smears, oral contraceptives and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases.
As a clinical instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center, I refer my patients to many of the most widely respected in-network specialists in the city. Whether it's here in our office or with a specialist we refer you to, we hope you'll feel that someone is sensitive to your concerns, and giving you the care you look for in a doctor.
