Jessica Carpenter, MD, is a skilled family medicine physician at Pronto Med Care in Toms River, New Jersey. She proudly welcomes new and returning patients.
Dr. Carpenter was born in Houston, Texas, before moving to her hometown of North Bergen, New Jersey. Her desire to pursue medicine stemmed from her years at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she organized and served on several medical missions to Ecuador and Nicaragua. During this service, she volunteered and interpreted Spanish for doctors from the United States.
Dr. Carpenter developed a genuine interest in family medicine during an elective at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She learned that family medicine allows her to build long-term relationships with patients. The versatility and diversity of family practice initially drew her interest, but her wonderful encounters with family physicians solidified her desire to pursue a career in this specialty.
As a family practitioner, Dr. Carpenter sees adults and children. She also loves incorporating women’s health into her practice. Dr. Carpenter is very excited to be a part of Pronto Med Care. She is an animal lover, and her interests include reading, running, traveling, and exploring nature.
Double board-certified physician Hitesh Patel, MD, provides expert primary care services for people living and working in Brick, New Jersey, at his practice Premier Healthcare Associates, PC. Dr. Patel is a highly skilled and experienced internal medicine and obesity medicine specialist.
Dr. Patel is conveniently located near Ocean Medical Center in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. An electronic medical records system is used to maintain your private health records. Most prescriptions are sent out electronically. The practice delivers professional yet compassionate care for people suffering from a wide range of disorders, including thyroid disease, mental health disorders, heart disease, diabetes, and COPD. Dr. Patel also offers additional services, including physical examinations, medical weight loss management, and aesthetic treatments such as skin tightening with TempSure® Envi.
Dr. Patel went to Loyola University of Chicago in Illinois to complete an undergraduate degree with a double major in chemistry and biology. He was awarded the Loyola University Presidential Scholarship (a tuition merit scholarship), was a Pre-Medical Honor Society National Member, and on the Dean's List. Dr. Patel went on to study at Ross University School of Medicine, graduating in 2000. His areas of study included nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, cardiology, psychiatry, neurology, pulmonary disease, ICU (intensive care), surgery, and infectious diseases.
For his postgraduate training in internal medicine, Dr. Patel went to West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, then St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center, part of New York Medical College in Queens, New York City. After completing his training, Dr. Patel worked as a staff physician and an attending teaching physician. He was also an occupational physician for Continental Airlines at Newark International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, before launching his private practice in 2006.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. He is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi as well as English. In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies.

Primary care services include screening, diagnosis, and treatment, focusing on early detection and prevention. I also order tests, prescribe medications, and give referrals to specialists.
In addition to standard medical treatments, I offer science and evidence-based complementary applications such as mindfulness, plant medicine, acupressure, and meditation. These services are included in regular visits and offered as independent modalities.
Alexander C. Scopellite MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been employed with the OrthoCenter since 2019. Alex received his Masters as a Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University 2019. He has always had a passion for the orthopaedic medical field which he discovered working at Bayshore Medical Center in the OR during his undergraduate and graduate education.
Alex currently functions as the managing PA-C for the practice. His primary responsibilities include assisting all the surgeons in the practice in the operating room, as well as seeing patients admitted to the hospital and in the emergency room at Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Medical Center. Alex will perform bedside fracture and dislocation reductions, application of splints, application of wound vac systems, and intra-articular joint injections/aspirations.
Alex also occasionally sees patients in the outpatient office setting; evaluating new patients, managing patients in the post-operative period, and see patients for routine repeat injections.

Adam Redlich, MD, is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, practicing at A+ Athlete Sports Medicine. With two office locations in Robbinsville (Mercer county) and Neptune (Monmouth), New Jersey, Dr. Redlich sees patients at both offices & brings with him over 20 years of experience in the field.
Dr. Redlich's passion is to maintain the small-town, local sports doctor approach for the region, which he has been doing since 2003 - even before he opened A+ Athlete Sports Medicine. He takes great pride in serving the community and surrounding area he calls home.
Dr. Redlich also trained under one of the non-operative sports medicine field’s founders at Rutgers/Jersey Shore University Medical Center - Sports Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Stephen Rice, in addition to leaders in the Sports Medicine & Regenerative Medicine and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound fields – Dr. Brian Shiple and Dr. Robert Monaco.
Education has always been of importance to Dr. Redlich. He trained at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Crozer Keystone Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute. During his family medicine residency at suburban Philadelphia's Crozer Keystone Health System, he acquired tremendous experience caring for athletes from local schools, weekend warriors doing marathons and triathlons, and higher level athletes at nearby Olympic Training Sites thru Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Redlich remains an adjunct faculty member and volunteer clinical instructor for Rutgers - RWJ Medical School – Family Medicine, RWJBarnabas Residency – Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, Hackensack Meridian Health – Jersey Shore University Medical Center / Ocean Medical Center – Pediatrics & Family Medicine, CentraState Medical Center – Family Medicine, Newark Beth Israel – Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.
He also maintains medical hospital staff privileges at RWJBarnabas - Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton, Penn Health - Princeton Medical Center, and Hackensack Meridian Health - Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Dr. Redlich lives with his family within a few minutes of his office and was born and raised in Monmouth County. He himself enjoys being active having over the years been a coach, runner, marathoner, triathlete, golfer, weight-lifter, hiker, mountain & trail biker, cycling, spin, yoga, walker, and High Intensity Interval Training participant at various points in his life.

Peter C. Wenger, MD, is an orthopedic and non-operative sports injury specialist at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, P.C., in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine.
Dr. Wenger graduated magna cum laude from Loyola College with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He attended and earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wenger then completed a surgical internship at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, and was promoted with highest honors.
Afterward, he completed his residency in family medicine with an emphasis in orthopedics at Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center. Finally, he completed his training at the University of Pittsburgh – Center for Sports Medicine, where he graduated from the Shadyside Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship with distinguished honors.
Dr. Wenger brings a unique approach to sports medicine care with his comprehensive understanding of family medicine, sports medicine, and surgery. As a multisport athlete himself, he understands a patient’s desire to safely return to their sport.
Richard Levandowski, MD, specializes in orthopedic medicine and primary care medicine at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, P.C., in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He is a primary care sports medicine specialist who is board certified in sports medicine and family medicine.
Dr. Levandowski spent ten years as a team physician and the Director of Athletic Medicine at Princeton University in New Jersey. He then became the Director of the Institute for Sports Medicine Institute, where he started the Sports Medicine Fellowship that is now part of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Levandowski has been a team physician at the Pan American Games, World Athletics Championships for USA Track and Field, and Princeton Training Camps for the USRowing, as well as for the Haitian National Athletics Team and Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Dr. Levandowski is deeply proud of his long association with Special Olympics New Jersey and is honored to be named the Head Physician for the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games.
Cara Barlis, MD, is a primary care physician who is board certified in family medicine. She currently sees patients at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, P.C., in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
She was raised in Toronto, Canada, and graduated from Queen’s University Medical School. She completed her family practice residency at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Barlis evaluates and treats patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Her patients range in age from adolescence to the elderly, and she enjoys seeing multiple generations of family members. She also offers women’s health care, including contraception, routine gynecology, menopausal concerns, and osteoporosis management.
Dr. Barlis also works as a collaborative physician at The College of New Jersey Student Health Services. She is responsible for the medical care of students who present to health services with medical illness, sports injuries, women’s and men’s health concerns, and preventive needs. She also serves as a consulting physician to The Hun School of Princeton, and in the past, has provided medical services at Hamilton Township Health Department sexually transmitted disease clinics.
For a number of years, Dr. Barlis has been privileged to be part of a medical mission team, providing care to underserved populations in Guatemala.
Dr. Barlis recognizes that mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing are interrelated. She truly believes in a patient-centered approach to family medicine and strives to partner with her patients with the goal of preventing disease and achieving lifelong wellness.
Chukwunwike Paul Okafor, MD (Chike), a New Jersey native, is a board-certified sports medicine and family medicine provider at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine. He completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship training at Duke University where he served as a team physician for Duke, Elon, and North Carolina Central University Athletics.
Chike graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency at Albert Einstein - Montefiore in Family Medicine. He is passionate about keeping his patients active as well as himself. Whether it’s helping an athlete or patient return after an injury or discussing injury prevention strategies, his mission is to work in collaboration with each individual he encounters to achieve their goals.
Chike strives to provide personalized care for each of his patients that address their unique needs. As a sports medicine physician he provides care for injury prevention, acute and chronic tendinopathy, degenerative joint disease (arthritis), fractures, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound guided injections, concussion care, and other musculoskeletal conditions. As a family medicine physician, he provides comprehensive care including annual wellness visits, sick visits, management of chronic medical condition, and discussing preventative care. He is invested in empowering his patients to better understand and take control of their health.
When Chike is not practicing medicine, you can find him playing basketball, practicing Jiu Jitsu, spending time with family or friends or trying new restaurants.
