She then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Simmons University, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Susan Horlick, MHS, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Select Family Practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. Susan has over 27 years of experience in urgent care and family medicine and uses her extensive knowledge to provide expert opinions and care to her patients. In 1986, Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in clinical nutrition at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Lauren completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Her degree speaks to her personal passion, as she earned a bachelor's in exercise and sports science. Lauren even worked as an exercise specialist for eight years before pursuing her graduate education.

In 2016, she began her career in emergency medicine where she learned to effectively care for patients of all ages and treat various patient concerns. However, after realizing her passion for building a lasting connection with patients, she chose to redirect her career to primary care where she can have a deep-rooted impact on a patient's health. Russell Harrell MD--- I was born in eastern N.C and spent most of my early years there. I attended medical school at UNC-CH ,graduating in 1981. My residency was in Family Medicine at USC in Columbia ,South Carolina. I began private practice in Durham ,N.C. in 1984. I have practiced Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care since 1990.
