Shahinaz Soliman, MD, is the founder and director of Shantique Med Spa in Torrance, California. An award-winning physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Soliman specializes in family medicine and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures.
An accomplished researcher, author, and educator, Dr. Soliman earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. After completing a residency in pediatrics, she relocated to the United States and was appointed to the faculty at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. While there, she was honored as outstanding faculty of the year seven times.
Upon completing her U.S. medical certification examinations, Dr. Soliman served as chief resident during her residency in family medicine at King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. She also earned multiple certifications in cosmetic procedures, including BOTOX®, dermal fillers, and laser surgery.
Dr. Soliman is an innovator who co-founded Sphinx Medical Technologies Inc., a health care technology company, and the creator and co-founder of Sexy Wipes, an all-natural product designed for menopausal women and those suffering from female sexual dysfunction. Her research and writing is featured in many respected publications and she’s presented at numerous professional seminars.
Dr. Soliman founded Soliman Care Family Practice Center in 2003 and Shantique Med Spa in 2004. She is affiliated with Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance.
In her leisure time, Dr. Soliman enjoys painting, writing poetry, running, music, and cooking.

She received her associate degree in nursing from Antelope Valley College and both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from California State University, Bakersfield.
Julia’s scope of practice is focused on Family Practice, Acute and Chronic Care and her medical background includes over 20 years of experience in various fields of nursing including acute care facilities, assisting in cardiology, the emergency department, respiratory care, senior care facilities, medical surgical, stroke and telemetry units.
Julia’s life-long passion and desire has been to help in the community, providing compassionate care to patients while simultaneously educating her patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She brings with her a wealth of experience and quality evidence-based care and considers it a privilege to be able to channel her passion for nursing through her work as a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as serving in the community and church, helping those who are less fortunate.
