Andrea has a passion for providing a positive bed-side manner to formulate a diagnosis. Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Eva specialized in Internal Medicine in Mcallen, Texas. She is passionate about providing evidence-based care and enjoys staying up to date with new techniques and products out in the market. Elizabeth Finsness, or “Liza”, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Dallas, TX.
She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She competed on UGA’s NCAA Equestrian team where she was named All-American four years, obtaining a National Championship and two SEC Championship titles. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. She has since earned the title of Diplomate Fellow as a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Being a native Floridian, Liza recognizes the importance of skin care and prevention of sun-related ailments. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine. I am passionate about helping patients achieve attainable weight loss goals. After seeing a need in the community for physicians who focus on the emotional, physical, and medical reasons of obesity I obtained board certification in Obesity Medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport.
Dr. Anderson went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center Family Medicine Residency based at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He also completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Texas A&M University in College Station.
Dr. Anderson is certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
He looks forward to welcoming new patients and continuing to care for his returning ones, giving them his highly regarded approach to helping them heal at the Center for Orthopaedics.
