Michael Murphy, RD, is a registered dietitian with over 18 years of experience working with weight loss surgery patients. He is the lead dietitian and nutrition adviser for AZ Weight Loss Clinic, a weight loss surgery practice with locations in Tempe, Glendale, Phoenix, Queen Creek, Sun City West, and Tucson, Arizona. Michael is dedicated to providing excellent preop and postop nutrition, weight loss education, and follow-ups to each patient he sees.
His mission is to re-shape the nutritional habits and behaviors of his weight loss surgery patients to ensure permanent success after weight loss surgery.
He is a graduate of Arizona State University and went on to complete his dietetic internship in Columbia, South Carolina. During his 18 years, his work has been published in national magazines, and he has appeared numerous times on local TV stations discussing the benefits of weight loss surgery and the proper nutrition before and after surgery.

Norma is a high-impact social work professional with great experience working with diverse populations. She received her Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and has primarily worked as a school-based counselor in Phoenix, utilizing individual, group, and family approaches. Now with HealthyU Clinics, she’s excited to drive positive patient outcomes in an integrated care setting. Mohammad Nasser, MD, founder of Leading MDs in Goodyear, Tempe, Sun City, and Mesa, Arizona, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and population health specialist. Dr. Nasser is known for numerous accomplishments in his field. He was the medical director at Arkos Health and managed more than 200,000 patients through his transitional care management program.
During his tenure at Arkos Health, Dr. Nasser developed an inpatient program that shortened hospital stays and mobilized patients to the next level of care. He also implemented a skilled nursing program that improved the post-discharge process.
As a respected author, Dr. Nasser published articles in medical journals as well as the well-known book, “Management of Chronic Kidney Disease.” He also served as a manuscript reviewer for medical journals, including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
