I was raised in St. Louis, MO and moved to Texas with my family in 2008. I became a registered nurse over 25 years ago and worked as a cardiac and critical care nurse before moving overseas and shifting my focus to global & integrative health care.
I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with an emphasis in Family Practice from Texas Tech University and joined the practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

A physician with over 10 years of experience in clinical medicine, Dr. Cauthen has also studied healthcare policy and management at Berkley and worked in research at the University of California, San Francisco and in Washington DC. He has served as a Lt. Commander in the US Public Health Service Corps and worked with the Indian Health Service in Alaska serving the Inuit population. Dr. Cauthen worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he was responsible for disease surveillance and outbreak investigations at the national and state level.
