After completing his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport.
Dr. Anderson went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center Family Medicine Residency based at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He also completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Texas A&M University in College Station.
Dr. Anderson is certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

I am passionate about helping patients achieve attainable weight loss goals. After seeing a need in the community for physicians who focus on the emotional, physical, and medical reasons of obesity I obtained board certification in Obesity Medicine.
