Dr. Newman grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where he lived and breathed Reds baseball. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. While there, he worked in the immunology lab at the medical school, a position that sparked his interest in the field. 

He obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, on a U.S. Army scholarship. Dr. Newman completed his internal medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado (now the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus). 

Dr. Newman spent the next four years as a staff internist at the U.S. Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. He left military service in 1997 and joined the staff of the University of Vermont in Burlington, where he was also an assistant professor of medicine, teaching medical students and residents. 

After three years in primary care internal medicine, he sought specialty training and rejoined the Army to do so. Deirdre Fraller, DNP, ANP-C, PMHNP-BC, is the founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of Owl & Eagle Health and Wellness. Daniel Witten, MD, FACP is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Ninth Avenue Internal Medicine in Denver, with over 23 years of professional experience. Dr. Witten graduated cum laude from Vilnius University Medical School and completed his internal medicine internship at the State University of New York and internal medicine and primary care residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver. He practiced at Rose Medical Center and founded the Ninth Avenue Internal Medicine Practice in 2003.

Dr. Wilner loves medicine. Although he has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years, he still attacks each day with the interest and vigor of a freshly graduated physician. He loves his work and his interactions with his patients.
