Annie Chang, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. 

Annie is originally from the Houston area and attended high school at St. Agnes Academy. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition in Business. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2019. 

Before completing her graduate studies, she gained hands-on experience working as a clinical care coordinator in hepatology at the Houston Medical Center.

In addition to her background in nutrition, Annie holds a keen interest in skin care and in preventative medicine through lifestyle and diet. Building a strong relationship with every patient is an integral part of her practice. Having received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Tejas Desai, DO, Annie practices medical dermatology, skin cancer surgeries, and other various skin procedures. Regina Nicholson, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology. At their offices in Mansfield, Regina has been a team member since 2021. 

Raised in Colleyville, Texas, Regina graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree at Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude. Regina majored in biology and secondary education.

Regina later graduated with an associate’s degree in medical assisting from Butler County Community College in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2016 and began her career in Dermatology. In 2018, Regina received a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She worked at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Dermatology Clinic treating patients, as a study coordinator for psoriasis studies, and preceptor for Physician Assistant students. She is currently a member of the Texas Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Regina is excited to join the Heights Dermatology team. She practices medical dermatology and performs skin cancer surgeries and other skin procedures. Regina enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, knitting, traveling, and reading science fiction in her free time.

Zoe Apted, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Houston. Joining the Heights Dermatology team in 2019, Zoe brings incredible expertise. 

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2014, she completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After finishing her MPH, she obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2016. Zoe received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List.

Before completing her graduate studies, Zoe worked in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Additionally, she spent six months volunteering as a medical assistant at a rural hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. During this time, she discovered a passion for clinical care, which compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She previously practiced in obstetrics and gynecology before moving into dermatology, a field of special interest to her. Zoe is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.

In her free time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She lives in the greater Heights area and is excited to serve her community.

Chris Simpson, MD, is a family medicine physician practicing at Dickinson Family Medicine Clinic, located in Dickinson, Texas. He has been dedicated to practicing family medicine since 2018. Elizabeth Finsness, or “Liza”, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Dallas, TX.

She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She competed on UGA’s NCAA Equestrian team where she was named All-American four years, obtaining a National Championship and two SEC Championship titles. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. She has since earned the title of Diplomate Fellow as a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Being a native Floridian, Liza recognizes the importance of skin care and prevention of sun-related ailments. She is passionate about patient education and preventative medicine. She is well versed in medical dermatology as well as surgical dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, traveling, exercise, and spending time with family and friends

Eva Hinojosa, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. Eva received several academic scholarships throughout her academic career and maintained a position on the Dean’s List. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. Eva then attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. She is bilingual and motivated to help the Corpus Christi community in their skin needs. Eva’s interest in helping the community and passion for overall skin care is what drove her to pursue a field in dermatology; her interest was further motivated during her clinical rotations. Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Eva specialized in Internal Medicine in Mcallen, Texas. She is passionate about providing evidence-based care and enjoys staying up to date with new techniques and products out in the market. Andrea Bowden, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Tomball, Texas. She joined the practice in 2022

Andrea grew up in Round Rock, TX. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor of Science in Health. She then went on to receive her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2017. Prior to completing her graduate studies, Andrea worked as a medical assistant in dermatology which motivated her to focus her sights on becoming a dermatology PA.

Prior to her arrival at Heights Dermatology, Andrea specialized in gastroenterology at UTMB in League City, TX. She has received personal training in dermatology from Dr. Alpesh Desai, DO, and Dr. Tejas Desai, DO. She practices in the areas of general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Andrea has a passion for providing a positive bed-side manner to formulate a diagnosis. Her goal is to actively collaborate with her patients to come up with an effective treatment plan that works for each individual patient.

Amneh Amro is a Physician Assistant that graduated from UT- RGV in 2012 and moved to Austin to pursue her career. She has worked in family medicine and urgent care settings for several years. She has gained experience in psychiatry during this time and enjoys the holistic approach if and when possible. On her free time she enjoys her family and loves to take her son paddle boarding!
