My path to a nursing career began when I was a high school student and I volunteered at a local community hospital. I discovered then the difference a positive human interaction can make in an otherwise traumatic situation.

Since then I have set out to make a difference in people’s lives by acting as an educator, advocate and practitioner to help optimize the health of my patients. Throughout my decade of experience, both as a registered nurse and as an advanced practice nurse, I have witnessed how a holistic approach can change a person’s life, and how optimism plays a pivotal role in the treatment of illnesses. I have worked in both the inpatient setting on hospital telemetry units and outpatient in internal medicine. Thomas Bills, MD, PhD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and general orthopaedics at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He is one of the founders of MBO.
