Elizabeth Finsness, or “Liza”, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Dallas, TX.
She graduated from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She competed on UGA’s NCAA Equestrian team where she was named All-American four years, obtaining a National Championship and two SEC Championship titles. She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Liza began her dermatology career in south Florida where she practiced general and surgical dermatology for 2 years before moving to Texas. Eva was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley with her family at age 10. She graduated cum laude from St. Edwards University in Austin with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2017. After college, she spent her first postgraduate year working in the Emergency department and volunteering at rural clinics in Mexico and Peru. “Started the weight loss plan with Dr. Shepherd last time that I went to see him. This time I waited 30 minutes, and met with a nurse practitioner student that was very helpful. Then, when the nurse practitioner came in she was very short with me and refused to prescribe me anything even though the weight loss plan called for it and I hadn’t met my goal.
