“Started the weight loss plan with Dr. Shepherd last time that I went to see him. This time I waited 30 minutes, and met with a nurse practitioner student that was very helpful. Then, when the nurse practitioner came in she was very short with me and refused to prescribe me anything even though the weight loss plan called for it and I hadn’t met my goal. Very inconsistent and irritating. I feel like if I would have met with another provider the outcome may have been much different.”

For 20 years, I have worked as a nurse in the emergency department which has taught me to recognize and treat a wide range of ailments. My desire to continue to help people during their time of need but also to focus more on preventative health led me to become a nurse practitioner.
I strive to provide compassionate, quality, timely, and appropriate care to all patients. Conversing and connecting with patients comes naturally to me. I enjoy explaining to patients the steps they should take for optimal lifelong health as well as, the care they need during times of illness or injury.
“Shellie is a fabulous Nurse Practitioner, I consider myself very fortunate to be in her care. She delivers competent and compassionate care every time.”
