Tania started her nursing career in 2002 after graduating from Bayamon Central University in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Then moved to Miami, Florida to continue working as a Registered Nurse in different settings. Eventually after 16 years as an RN, she graduated from Purdue University Global obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Specialty in 2018, where she worked in an adult and pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner managing adults, special needs patients, and kids with respiratory conditions like upper respiratory infections, flu, cough, asthma, COPD, RAD, COVID-19 and sleep disorders like sleep apnea, insomnia, parasomnia, RLS, and managing machine-dependent patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP and ASV. Later in 2022, completed the Doctorate in Nursing Practice to expand her knowledge and provide safe and effective care for her patients. As a mom to a special needs son, she understands how much a good and quality care is needed.

Deanna is a South Florida native, born and raised in Miami. She graduated from the University of Miami with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002, and received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2013, from Florida Atlantic University. Deanna was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, FAU chapter, in 2013, and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and women's health, with 11 years of experience, working at the bedside as a registered nurse, and 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. This does not include her time volunteering in hospitals and nursing homes throughout high school, and working as a nurse’s aid throughout college. Deanna has also volunteered overseas with non-governmental organizations while in grad school, to provide primary care in rural villages of Guatemala. She has had a lifelong passion for healthcare, and enjoys helping her patients feel great inside and out.

A tried-and-true Floridian, Sara was born and raised in Miami, received her BSN from Florida State University in 2006 and MSN from University of Florida in 2012. St Augustine became her forever home in 2007 and life is full of activity with her amazing husband and four busy kids. When not caring for patients, she is likely to be found on the soccer turf or baseball pitch but tries to squeeze in a beach day or camping trip whenever the opportunity arises!

Adela Fernandez-Mirza, MD, is an experienced general surgeon at AssociatesMD in Plantation, Florida. Dr. Fernandez-Mirza joins the team from a diverse background with training in General Surgery.
She attended St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine, and after several medical missions abroad to Nigeria, Dominica, and Bolivia, she discovered her love of surgery. She began her residency training at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island, and completed it at the University of South Florida.
She earned numerous awards and recognitions during her residency, including Humanism and Excellence in Teaching, induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and Thoracic Advanced Techniques in VATS from Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She was the recipient of the Society of Thoracic Surgeon Scholarship. Her passion for medicine and surgery laid the groundwork for serving the underprivileged at home and abroad.
In addition to practicing medicine, she performs pro-bono work for political asylum seekers in countries where atrocities exist. With more than four decades as a primary care physician, Richard Reines, MD, brings the highest level of experience and skill to his work at AssociatesMD in Dania Beach, Florida. Dr. Reines is board-certified in family practice by the American Board of Family Medicine, and he welcomes patients from all age groups.
Dr. Reines earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He went on to complete his internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the main teaching hospital for the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.
In addition to treating patients in the Dania Beach office of AssociatesMD, Dr. Reines is affiliated with Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.
As part of a multispecialty medical group, Dr. Reines is able to provide both primary care and many types of specialized care to his patients at AssociatesMD. He speaks English, Spanish, and Guarani fluently.
