Jessica Benjamin is a board certified Physician Assistant. Jessica completed her B.A. at Rutgers University, double majoring in Biological Sciences and Psychology. She went on to PA school and completed her Masters in Public Health at Lock Haven University. Prior to PA school she was an EMT for 6 years and volunteered her time at her local Fire/Ambulance company.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her friends and family. She enjoys watching football and baseball and is a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan.

Tel-A-YaYa is a holistic, collaborative family medicine practice based in New Jersey, led by doctorate-prepared board-certified family nurse practitioner Susan Rufolo, DNP, APN, FNP-BC, CEN. The practice offers comprehensive telehealth/telemedicine services to patients of all ages.

In  2025 Susan will celebrate 20 years in the profession of nursing having received her associate in science in nursing in 2005 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  Susan obtained her New Jersey Registered Nurse licensure in July 2005 and in August she began her nursing career working in the emergency crisis unit as well as the emergency department of a large metropolitan hospital.  In 2007, Susan added a new career aspect by taking on the role of the lead team nurse working with mentally challenged patients. That same year, Susan expanded her nursing career and goals by entering Jacksonville University’s RN-BSN program then being offered a charge nurse position in the emergency department of another major hospital in the area. In December 2010, Susan graduated from Jacksonville University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and continued with her position as a charge nurse.  

During her nursing career, Susan has obtained and maintained certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and IV Certification as well as her national certification in emergency nursing (CEN) which she earned in March 2016.

In 2016 as well, Susan returned to school as she was accepted into Bradley University’s BSN to DNP/FNP program from which she graduated with her terminal degree in December 2020 with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In February 2021 Susan passed her boards to become a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. From there, Susan worked in hospitals and urgent cares in and around New Jersey as well as taught nursing students, who respectfully referred to her as Dr. R, in both the classroom and in clinical instruction in nursing homes. It was her grandchildren who lovingly nicknamed her Dr. YaYa; thus her practice name was born - Tel-A-YaYa!

At Tel-A-YaYa, Susan provides quality primary care services to her patients, including special needs patients. She’s highly experienced, accessible, easygoing, and always there for her patients, making them feel understood and welcomed. Limor Tabib, RDN completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at The Pennsylvania State University. As a native New Yorker, she then went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at Long Island University with a focus on Medical Nutrition Therapy. Her passion for health, well-being, and helping others to have a quality life is what inspired Limor to pursue becoming a Registered Dietitian as a career. Limor has experience working as an RDN in the settings of rehabilitation and long-term care, social media, culinary, and private practice counseling. She graduated from Brooklyn College (NY), had Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center. After that she worked as a Registered Dietitian at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Jewish Renaissance Medical Center and a Researcher at Brooklyn College. She has good experience in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients undergoing bariatric surgery

Purnima Shivaram, RDN is an experienced dietician at the Nutrition & Health Center. She is a goal-oriented nutritionist focused on conducting detailed nutritional consultations and creating personalized evidence-based nutrition plans to meet the needs of her clients. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Sciences from Montclair University, New Jersey. She speaks English and Hindi.

Benjamin J Scopellite MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. He received his bachelor's in Biology from Seton Hall University in 2019, and Subsequently his Masters's as a Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University in 2021.

Benjamin has always had a great interest in orthopedic surgery and since graduating as a PA in 2021 he has worked in orthopedics.

During his practice he has seen patients in the emergency and inpatient hospital setting as well as the outpatient clinic; in addition to acting as a surgical first assist in a wide variety of orthopedic procedures.

Benjamin joined Orthocenter in 2022. His primary responsibilities include assisting the surgeons in the operating room and seeing patients at both Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Medical Center. Benjamin also sees patients in the outpatient office setting.

 

 

Alexander C. Scopellite MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who has been employed with the OrthoCenter since 2019. Alex received his Masters as a Physician Assistant from Seton Hall University 2019. He has always had a passion for the orthopaedic medical field which he discovered working at Bayshore Medical Center in the OR during his undergraduate and graduate education.

Alex currently functions as the managing PA-C for the practice. His primary responsibilities include assisting all the surgeons in the practice in the operating room, as well as seeing patients admitted to the hospital and in the emergency room at Riverview Medical Center and Bayshore Medical Center. Alex will perform bedside fracture and dislocation reductions, application of splints, application of wound vac systems, and intra-articular joint injections/aspirations.

Alex also occasionally sees patients in the outpatient office setting; evaluating new patients, managing patients in the post-operative period, and see patients for routine repeat injections.

Dr. Tennen specializes in Non-Operative Sports Medicine with experience treating Musculoskeletal injuries and systemic athletic conditions from your weekend warrior to the professional athlete.

Dr. Tennen received his undergraduate degree in Biology with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry from Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating with Honors. Following graduation, Dr. Tennen went on to Ross University School of Medicine for his Medical Degree. After receiving his Medical Degree Dr. Tennen completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Elmhurst Hospital in affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital.

After his Internship, Dr. Tennen completed his Residency in Family Medicine from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset NJ. After Residency, Dr. Tennen completed an ACGME Accredited Fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown NJ. While in Fellowship, Dr. Tennen’s training involved providing sideline medical coverage for the New York Jets, Division I athletes from Seton Hall University and a private hockey league.

Dr. Tennen practices non-surgical techniques, using conservative measures to allow patients to rehabilitate from their injuries. His Primary Care background allows for treatment of Non-Orthopaedic / medical injuries in athletes ranging from concussion management/return to play, athletic fatigue, overtraining, exercised induced asthma, as well as management of athletes with other chronic medical conditions.
