Dr. Newman spent the next four years as a staff internist at the U.S. Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. He left military service in 1997 and joined the staff of the University of Vermont in Burlington, where he was also an assistant professor of medicine, teaching medical students and residents.
After three years in primary care internal medicine, he sought specialty training and rejoined the Army to do so. He completed his allergy/immunology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2002 and, from there, returned to Germany to become Chief of Allergy at the US Army Hospital in Würzburg, where he also functioned as chief of medicine.
He left Germany and the Army in 2005 to launch a solo allergy/immunology practice in Vermont and spent the next 11 years as an established allergist in the Burlington, Vermont, area.
When his son graduated from high school, he and his wife decided to make a bold change and return to Colorado. He joined Denver Allergy & Asthma and Associates in July 2016.
When not at work, Dr. Newman loves the wilderness and the mountains, camping, hiking, canoeing, and fishing whenever he can find the time. He is married and has a grown son who lives in Salt Lake City.

I am a family nurse practitioner with vast experience in pediatrics, family medicine, addiction medicine and home health. I began my nursing career working in the pediatric unit at Duke University Hospital. I went on to earn my MSN degree with a focus of Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. After years of practicing family medicine in a rural health setting in North Carolina, I have started my own practice with the goal of improving access to healthcare for patients in rural Colorado. Morgan Busse received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Washington in 2011 and worked as an inpatient OB nurse for 8 years at a busy urban hospital in Seattle, Washington. Her love for nursing and the desire to create life-long partnerships with patients and families led her back to the University of Washington where she graduated with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing as a family nurse practitioner in 2020. Morgan and her family moved to Colorado in 2021 to give them the wonderful opportunity to be closer to family and experience the beautiful Colorado Rockies!

J. Abram McBride, MD, is a board-certified urologist and men’s health specialist with fellowship training in microsurgery, male reproductive medicine, and infertility. He currently provides comprehensive men’s care at his private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. McBride is a proud native of Virginia who served in the Virginia Army National Guard, including overseas for Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
Between his army tours, Dr. McBride graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and then received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk. She is a doctorally prepared board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority providing treatment for psychiatric ailments and disorders across the lifespan.
