I’m Brooke Schaive, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Grassroots Healthcare, where I’m honored to provide compassionate, family-centered care. My journey began as a Riverton High School graduate, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois. Since starting my career in 2015, I spent eight years as a registered nurse, growing through diverse patient experiences before specializing as a Nationally Certified Maternal Newborn Nurse in postpartum care. Later, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University, stepping into my role as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a heart full of purpose.
For me, healthcare is about empowering families with knowledge and support. My grandfather’s courage during his cancer battle—and his belief in my healing smile—lit a spark in me to look beyond symptoms, seeking root causes and fostering wellness. I love blending medical care with simple joys like a healthy diet, gentle exercise, and a lot of sunshine. At Grassroots, it’s a privilege to care for newborns to seniors, and often entire families, offering proactive, personalized attention that feels like home.
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me tending my garden, a tradition woven with life lessons from my grandpa, or baking sourdough bread with my music turned up loud. I cherish exploring life’s adventures with my high school sweetheart, now my husband, and our four wonderful children. Together, we grow, laugh, and embrace every moment.
