I am a board-certified family medicine doctor who sought further training in medical acupuncture, Eastern and Western botanical medicine and nutritional medicine. The human body and soul are my passions; I am in awe of their wonderful workings and grateful to spend my days constantly furthering my knowledge. I am excited to weave together multiple paths of wisdom, thereby opening new potential for healing.
I have experienced the healing effects of acupuncture in my own personal health journey. When struggling with health issues, I reached beyond the constraints of Western Medicine and began a journey that led to improvements in my symptoms and changes in my health and life that I had not thought previously possible. True healing reaches beyond physical symptoms and results in the restoration of a person to their full potential. A path towards true healing is the most exciting aspect of what acupuncture offers.
“Dr N was more than generous/informative with her feedback on my case. She advised me on the treatment that would be appropriate. Considering her being out of office for my appt she still was available and I appreciate the dedication to wellness decisions.”
“Every time I'm in office, I am not disappointed. Ginger is thorough, very knowledgeable about treatments options and encouraging. Staff are professional and polite. Only downside is I have to remind them about sending orders for bloodwork before every appointment.”
Alaska has been home to me for 20 years now. I have a passion for working with people who have autoimmune and hormonal problems as well as their families.
My education consists of a bachelor's degree in nursing. I worked as a RN for 10 years before returning for graduate school where I completed a Master's degree in a Family Nurse Practitioner program. Further education was pursued to complete a certification in Functional medicine since this is where my interests lie. Functional medicine looks into the root cause of illness and dysfunction. I have the benefit of combining these two pathways to deliver comprehensive care.
