Dr. Vargas graduated cum laude from an accelerated seven-year medical program at City University of New York City College, in New York City, with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences in 1997. She soon enrolled in New York University School of Medicine, graduating with her medical doctorate in 1999.
Since graduating from medical school, Dr. Vargas has completed an internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. Returning to Georgia in 1994, he began his medical practice in Cochran before relocating to Gwinnett County in 1996.
