I have had the pleasure of working in the field of nursing in one aspect or another for over 33 years. I have extensive training in critical care both surgical and medical. I have provided care in large group settings with multiple providers as well as small rural healthcare settings. I enjoy family medicine the most with an emphasis on primary prevent. Born and raised in Port Huron, I am married with three children. My philosophy in medicine is to help patients help themselves. I can provide my advice, but it is up to the patient to follow this plan. I prefer preventative medicine and early treatment of disease to prevent problems later. Easy to understand explanations regarding disease and treatment are provided. I aspire to stay on time during the day, however I spend the time needed to address the issues. Some days, this may not be an issue, but other days it may cause some delay. Typically, patients know that if I am running late, it is because I am spending the time needed. They also feel comfortable knowing that I will do the same for them if the time comes.

Shaniqua McGraw, MD, is a family medicine specialist at Carolina Clinic for Health and Wellness, located in Greenville, North Carolina. Her mission is to provide patient-centered care and education to every person who comes through the door.
Dr. McGraw spent her childhood in Irvington, New Jersey, and earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in upstate New York. She continued on and graduated from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, in 2013.
Dr. McGraw then finished a research fellowship at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and continued on to do a family medicine residency in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at Lehigh Valley Health Network. She completed this residency in 2017.
Before joining the team at Carolina Clinic for Health and Wellness, Dr. McGraw served as the medical director at UNC Family Medicine at Lenoir, located in Kinston, North Carolina. However, after two years she decided she wanted to be closer to her new hometown of Greenville, and began practicing family medicine at the clinic.

She earned her bachelor degree in nursing at East Carolina University. She worked as a bedside nurse for eight years in medical oncology and the trauma surgical intensive care units. She then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Simmons University, located in Boston, Massachusetts. She began working at Open Water Medical Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina in 2019 until 2022. She then joined Carolina Clinic for Health and Wellness in 2022.
