After finishing her undergraduate degree in human development and family studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, Dr. Black attended medical school. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City (now Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai). Dr. Black even studied as an Arthur Ashe fellow at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is currently board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.

I found Dr. Black out of shear desperation. I had been struggling with my medical team to find any solutions on what was going on with my body. I was experiencing unexplained weight gain (an extreme amount), cystic acne, brain fog, anxiety, and much more. Upon meeting Dr. Black, I was immediately impressed with her kindness, respect, and knowledge. She walked me through my labs in great detail and explained what areas could be contributing to my current symptoms. She was careful with how she selected the treatment plan and advised me that we are a team and the importance of communicating with her timely if I experience any issues. This made me feel extremely comfortable as my experience with many medical professionals has felt much like a dictation. If you are spinning your wheels on what may be going on with your body and are considering Dr. Black, I highly recommend her!
