Dr. Ely Shapiro is a board-certified otolaryngologist who practices at Adult & Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at New York University, and then graduated from New York Medical College in 1992, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed his otolaryngology training at the University of Southern California in 1997 and continued his training in pediatric head and neck disorders at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He has been in private practice in southern Michigan since 1998 and is affiliated with Borgess Medical Center, Bronson Methodist Hospital, and Woodbridge Surgery Center.
Dr. Shapiro sees adults and children, carefully listening and providing explanations in understandable language. He treats ear and sinus disorders, swallowing and breathing difficulties, head, neck, and throat diseases, as well as allergy conditions.
As an avid wildlife photographer, Dr. Shapiro enjoys traveling with his family. He is also a collector of military aviation art, which is displayed around the office for patients to enjoy.
Dr. Amber Berry is a board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic surgeon at Adult & Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing her residency at Beaumont Hospital in 2017.
She has additional surgical training using robotics technology, and she specializes in tongue base surgical interventions. Her focus is improving the care and treatment of patients with disorders that affect upper-airway breathing, speech, swallowing, as well as balance and hearing.
Dr. Berry believes that patients should be treated as individuals with unique needs. She is committed to providing quality care, as well as understanding and listening to her patients’ concerns or questions. She loves to work in a field where she is helping people heal, one day at a time.
In her free time, Dr. Berry enjoys outdoor activities such as bicycling and paddleboarding. She also loves to spend time with her four-footed bestie, Woodson.
