She then completed her general practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, which is affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Deborah Mansdorf attended Yeshiva University undergraduate and went on to pursue dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Mansdorf completed a general practice residency at Northwell Health Hospital. After practicing general dentistry for two years, she completed an endodontic residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mansdorf trained and volunteered with Magen David Adom as a medic and enjoys the ability to help people in all capacities. She enjoys passing on her knowledge to the future generation of dentists, and therefore serves as an attending at the Mount Sinai Hospital General Practice Residency Program, and also is a professor at Touro College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mansdorf demands excellence from herself and her work and does her best to provide a comfortable and safe environment for her patients. When Dr. Steven .D. Kaplan was in elementary school, there were two things he enjoyed; interacting with others and working with his hands by playing music and writing songs. He truly feels that these two loves led him to become a dentist. By the age of 11, he was already telling people he was going to become a dentist after he shadowed and assisted at his family’s dentist's office.
Dr. Kaplan got his undergraduate degree at The University College of Arts and Sciences at NYU, where he graduated Cum Laude. Thereafter, Dr. Kaplan attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors in Biochemistry. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors society, of which he is still a member.
Dr. Kaplan achieved the status of chief resident of Endodontics at the Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, NY, Assistant Professor of Endodontics at NYU Dental School, Associate attending at the Nassau County Medical Center, as well as published an article in The Journal of Oral Surgery and has been in private practice for 40 years.
Currently, Dr. Kaplan is a member of the Deans Policy Council at Touro College of Dental Medicine. He has lectured extensively on the topic of endodontics at several dental schools and study clubs as well as The Greater New York Dental Meeting. He is an esteemed member of several professional societies and has attained many honors in his field.

Dr. Chinyere Agu is a board-certified Endocrinologist and an affiliate with State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Agu’s area of expertise is general endocrinology which includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of diabetes, obesity, thyroid, adrenal & pituitary gland disorders as well as lipid, hormonal and bone disorders. She completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Agu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from University of Nigeria College of Medicine and completed a 3-year residency program in Internal Medicine at Harlem Medical Center in Affiliation with Columbia University. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists as well as Endocrine Society.

Board-certified Endodontist, Dr. Deborah Gortler Shukovsky is a three-time graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Dental school in 2004. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weil Cornell Medical Center and then postgraduate training in Endodontics at UPENN.
Dr. Gortler is committed to providing her patients with precision in her technique as well as gentle hands. She finds satisfaction in doing root canals in order to help alleviate her patients’ pain. She also loves working with people and always smiling.
Scott Resnick, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. He is proud to provide high-quality care to patients in New York City.
Dr. Resnick was born and raised in New York. He graduated from Queens College and then went to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While attending Tufts, he also went to Harvard Extension School, where he received a graduate certificate in business. He then attended New York University, where he received a postgraduate degree in endodontics. He started practicing dentistry in 1988.
Shortly after graduating, Dr. Resnick began teaching at Mount Sinai Hospital. In 1991, he became Chief of Endodontics at the hospital, a position he held for 23 years. Dr. Thomas Zicarelli joined him in 1991. They are now joined by Dr. Jennifer Donelson, Dr. Randolph Todd, and Dr. Christina Boyd. They recently moved to their new location. They pride themselves on using the most sophisticated techniques, equipment, and materials and they constantly strive towards excellence.
Dr. Resnick has a wife and three daughters. He enjoys cycling, running, swimming, yoga, and, of course, spending time with his family.
Thomas J. Zicarelli, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients in New York City.
Dr. Zicarelli is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania and the New York University College of Dentistry, where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery and specialty certificate in endodontics. She earned her Doctor in Dental Surgery from New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, where she received multiple academic and clinical awards in endodontics, leadership, and advancement of dentistry, occlusion, and oral comprehensive care. During her dental school training, Dr. Boyd published an article in the Journal of Cancer Education on research to identify barriers to oral cancer screenings by dentists.
Dr. Boyd then completed a two-year post-graduate residency in endodontics at NYU College of Dentistry. She has also participated in numerous clinical outreaches in the United States and globally to increase access to dental care for those in underserved communities. Her deep commitment and dedication to the profession were acknowledged when she was welcomed as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Julianna Bair, DMD, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. She is dedicating to providing individualized and quality care to patients in New York City.
