Kavitha Persaud, MD, a double board-certified physician works at University Reproductive Associates in Hasbrouck Heights, Hoboken, and Wayne, New Jersey.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Persaud received her Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, before completing her medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed her REI fellowship at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, following in the footsteps of University Reproductive Associates physicians Peter McGovern, MD, Susan Wolf, MD, Adam Fechner, MD, and Sara Morelli, MD, PhD. It was during Dr. Persaud’s fellowship that she learned about University Reproductive Associates and knew that was where she hoped to practice.
Dr. Persaud’s three-year REI fellowship consisted of 18 months of research followed by another 18 months of clinical experience, predominantly at University Reproductive Associates, where she worked one-on-one with all of the physicians in the group practice to learn about reproductive endocrinology and infertility, assisting with surgeries and observing how they interact with patients.
Dr. Persaud knew she wanted to specialize in obstetrics as she loved the prospect of bringing life into the world. She was drawn to the subspecialty of infertility because it was a way of helping couples become families through the ever-changing technological and medical treatments and procedures.
“Mi doctora me dio mucha confianza, me sentí cómoda hablando con ella y senti que mi situation le importaba y que quería ayudarme . Y la rapidez con la que me atendieron fue excelente. Gracias ”
