I am Dr. Sharon Moayeri, MD, MPH, MS, FACOG, an expert fertility specialist and gynecologist with nearly 20 years of experience. Remaining close to my hometown at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), I graduated with a double major in Biological Science and Cognitive Science, before continuing my education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I obtained my Master’s degree in Public Health with a specialization in health policy, focusing on public health program development, implementation, and assessment.
Discovering my passion for working one-on-one with patients in a clinical setting, I returned home to Orange County at UCI School of Medicine to pursue my Medical Degree. I also completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, serving as administrative Chief Resident.

At his practice, Dr. Falahati treats a full range of endocrine disorders, with a specialization in diabetes, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease. Dr. Falahati is one of the few specialists in the country in the field of thyroid nodule ablation that offers both RFA and MWA treatment options to his patients who need help with treating their thyroid nodules and saving their thyroid. He graduating from the University of Vienna Medical School in Vienna, Austria, in 1994, Dr. Falahati relocated to Pennsylvania to continue his education. He completed his internship at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, and then went on to finish his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Falahati proudly received his training as a sub-specialist in the field of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Since leaving the Mayo Clinic in 2001, he has received many national and international awards for his research. He has also published articles in respected medical and scientific journals and books. Dr. Falahati has given numerous lectures and interviews on topics related to osteoporosis, diabetes, pre-diabetes, and thyroid disorders. Before founding Utah Endocrinology Associates, Dr. Falahati was the chairman of the Institutional Review Board overseeing research activities and the medical director of the Diabetes Center at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Falahati is the current chapter president of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the founder and director of Utah Endocrinology Associates and the Utah Osteoporosis Foundation as well as Salt Lake City RFA Clinic.

Dr. Segkos graduated from the University of Athens, Greece. He subsequently moved to the US, where he received his residency and fellowship training at the University of Massachusetts and The Ohio State University. He is a board certified endocrinologist. He also has the prestigious Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU), which attests to his expertise in ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures of the neck. He has a special interest in the disorders of the thyroid, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, and is committed in helping patients with benign symptomatic thyroid nodules avoid surgery, by offering and utilizing the thyroid radiofrequency ablation procedure.
