Sanna Ronkainen, M.D, F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ronkainen is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, and earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Dr. Yeager served in the United States Navy, where he trained as an aviation medical officer. Later, he completed his residency in dermatology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and became a member of the teaching staff there.
Besides treating patients, he contributed to resident education and published over 50 articles on research studies and case reports. He was the principal investigator on two research projects that the National Institutes of Health sponsored; he taught as an associate professor of dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, and he was an assistant professor of clinical dermatology at Georgetown University.
Dr. Yeager also enjoyed serving as a dermatology consultant to the United States Congress. In addition, he was a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the International Society of Dermatology, the Washington D.C. Dermatological Society, and the American Medical Association. He was named one of the “Top Doctors” in the Washingtonian Magazine.
Dr. Yeager is a dedicated, practicing dermatologist who is genuinely interested in delivering the highest quality patient care. He enjoys seeing patients and helping them to have the healthiest skin possible. Currently, he is accepting appointments at his new office on Shady Grove Road in Rockville.
Sanna Ronkainen, M.D, F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ronkainen is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, and earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation from Rice, she was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship--a grant to pursue research through travel in a topic of personal interest--studying type 1 diabetes. During her fellowship she traveled to Argentina, Tonga, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Tanzania. She returned to Washington, DC for medical school at Georgetown University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as recognition of her academic excellence.
Dr. Ronkainen then completed a five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where she participated in the global health track and served as Chief Resident during her final year. During her residency she was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and was inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her enthusiasm for teaching medical students.
Prior to joining District Dermatology, Dr. Ronkainen served as an assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and worked at the Medstar Washington Hospital Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. Ronkainen is delighted to serve her home community. She enjoys caring for patients with a wide variety of skin concerns and is committed to developing tailored treatment plans for each of her patients. Dr. Ronkainen has you covered for your skin care needs, whether performing a thorough skin check for concerning growths, managing sudden rashes or chronic skin conditions (like eczema, psoriasis & acne). When not seeing patients, Dr. Ronkainen enjoys crafting, indoor gardening, and spending time with her young family.

Lorena Dollani M.D specializes in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dollani’s scope of practice includes medical dermatology for both children and adults, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Dollani grew up in Massachusetts. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology, with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her M.D at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Dollani was also inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication.
Dr. Dollani then completed a rigorous five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her last year of training. During her residency she trained at Children’s National Medical Center, National Institutes of Health, and INOVA Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center. Dr. Dollani has presented at multiple state and national conferences and authored multiple manuscripts in scholarly journals in dermatology.
She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Dollani looks forward to treating patients of all ages at District Dermatology, by providing the highest quality evidence-based, patient centered medical care. Having trained in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Dollani has experience across both disciplines which aids in caring for patients with complex dermatologic illnesses. Dr. Dollani is passionate about treating dermatological diseases early so that less complications occur down the line for example early treatment of acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis as well as early detection of skin cancers.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Dollani is an avid foodie and traveler. Along with her husband, she owns a small chocolate shop in Washington DC, where they curate chocolates from around the world. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old son.
