Tejas Desai, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Heights Dermatology. A native Houstonian, Dr. Desai completed his undergraduate education at the University of Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in only three years. Finally, he completed his dermatology and surgical fellowship in southern California.

Dr. Sekula-Gibbs served as a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine where she taught residents and medical students and cared for patients at Ben Taub Hospital. She was honored to be elected president of the Houston Dermatological Society and the Texas Dermatological Society. She has served on the Advisory Board of the American Academy of Dermatology and held leadership roles in numerous professional organizations. 
Dr. Shelley is a Red Cross shelter volunteer and serves on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors. In her free time, she enjoys being with family and friends. 

Jacqueline Witt, MD, FAAD, serves patients of all ages at Elite Dermatology in Fulshear, Texas, providing medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology care.

Dr. Witt grew up in Longwood, Florida, and moved to New Orleans for her undergraduate studies at Tulane University. She subsequently graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. At Tulane, Dr. Witt completed an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency and served as Chief Resident in her final year. Trissa Connors, M.D. serves patients at Elite Dermatology in Fulshear providing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care. She is passionate about working alongside her patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on their unique goals.

Dr. Connors was born in Portland, Oregon, but she spent her formative years on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Her father’s work as a botanist took the family all around the world, including a year spent living in Thailand while she was in high school.

After graduating from high school, Dr. Connors moved to the mainland where she completed her undergraduate work at the University of San Francisco. After graduating with honors, an opportunity arose for her to move to Texas for medical school. She got here as fast as she could and hasn’t looked back!

Dr. Connors attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she graduated with High Honors and was elected a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. During her medical training she additionally completed a Masters in Public Health through The University of Texas School of Public Health where her focus was on the impact of the environment and environmental exposures on health. Dr. Diana Mannschreck, MD, sees patients as a dermatologist five days per week in the Kingwood, Texas, office. She offers general and cosmetic dermatology and enjoys taking care of the entire family.

Dr. Mannschreck grew up in northwest Montana in the foothills of beautiful Glacier National Park. She was a National Merit Scholar and completed a full International Baccalaureate diploma during high school. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where she majored in nursing and met her husband, Will, who is from rural Idaho. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was one of only two students to receive the President’s Medal out of a graduating class of almost 8,000.

After practicing nursing in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit for two years in the Seattle area, Dr. Mannschreck completed her premedical studies, first at the University of Washington and then at Duke University. She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was co-chair of her college and authored numerous research studies on infantile hemangiomas under the mentorship of world-renowned pediatric dermatologist Dr. Bernard Cohen. With a special interest in pediatric dermatology, Dr. Mannschreck completed her intern year in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Virginia, where she served on the University Housestaff Council and created and ran the dermatology department’s Instagram account. Dr. Ojong is originally from Cameroon. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She later earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. To round out her education, Dr. Ojong completed her dermatology residency training at Larkin Community Hospital - Palm Springs Campus, in Hialeah, Florida, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ojong has had the specific privilege of presenting at the Annual Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery meetings. She enjoys exercising, being outdoors with her dog, traveling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family, in her free time.

Tejas Desai, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Heights Dermatology. From the offices in Houston, Rosenberg, Lake Jackson, Portland, Corpus Christi, Palacios, Columbus, Gonzales, Dallas, Mansfield, Beaumont, Bay City, New Braunfels, Tomball, Texas City, and San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Desai is committed to making every one of his patients happy. 

A native Houstonian, Dr. Desai completed his undergraduate education at the University of Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in only three years. During medical school, he was involved in multiple dermatologic research teams at Columbia Medical School in New York City and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Finally, he completed his dermatology and surgical fellowship in southern California.

Dr. Desai won several awards for his research as a distinguished resident. He also lectured at several dermatologic conferences across the United States and internationally. He is recognized for his strong academic work, placing second in the nation on a dermatologic in-service exam amongst all residents in the country.

Dr. Desai enrolled in a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and facial reconstruction at Loma Linda University in California. He trained with the former Co-Chairman of Dermatology at Harvard University. Dr. Desai served as the Loma Linda Melanoma Tumor Board coordinator from 2007-2008, where difficult-to-treat cases were deferred to him and his colleagues.

An author in his own right, Dr. Desai wrote a plethora of scholarly articles in leading dermatology journals. In addition, he authored three chapters in two major dermatology textbooks. Many of the chapters focus on ethics and legality in the practice of dermatology. It comes as no surprise that he is an expert consultant to review dermatologic malpractice cases in Texas.

An adjunct professor of Western University of Health Sciences located in Pomona, CA, Dr. Desai serves as an integral part of second-year medical students’ curriculum. He continues to mentor students all over the nation. He is currently involved in multiple community outreach programs, where he performs skin exams for different groups of people, from local firefighters and police officers to professional athletes. 

He has consulted several Anaheim Angels baseball players during Spring Training while in Southern California and participated in international mission trips to the outskirts of the Amazon rain forest located near Quito, Ecuador.

Apart from academia, Dr. Desai has been invited as a guest by his good friend and colleague on “Dr. 90210” on E!, discussing and performing laser tattoo removal on camera. His personal hobbies include tennis and traveling.

A Houston native, Dr. Desai returned to the area after successfully completing a surgical internship and dermatology residency in southern California. In 2006, he was selected among several of his peers to take over one of Houston’s most prestigious dermatology practices. 

With the help of his brother Dr. Tejas Desai, he expanded the practice to include Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cosmetic Procedures, and Clinical Research Trials. At Heights Dermatology, the mission has been to utilize the emerging technology to deliver advanced patient care with a personal and caring touch.

Dr. Desai’s long list of professional affiliates includes memberships at the local and national levels, including the Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Desai is also a leader in dermatology and conducts many clinical research trials. He also provides free dermatology care to local charities and was recently awarded an Honor of Distinction by the Asian American Physician Association for his contribution and dedication to Southeast Asia Orphanages.

Dr. Desai has been frequently featured in print and broadcast media as a recognized expert in his field. He has been on numerous radio interviews discussing dermatological issues ranging from psoriasis to cosmetic procedures. Furthermore, he continues to contribute back to his medical community by authoring multiple medical articles, manuscripts, and texts currently in print.
