He is a native of New York City who grew up in Queens and attended Brooklyn Technical High School. After earning a bachelor of science degree from SUNY Stony Brook University, Dr. Petrosian received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM/NYITCOM) in Westbury, New York. He then completed his residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York in affiliation with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

However, dermatology was her calling, leading her to pursue a Dermatology residency at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Following a family decision to move to Greece, she became the Director of Dermatology at the Interbalkan European Medical Center in Northern Greece. After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors, Dr. Gruson received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City. While in medical school, she earned the Marion B. Sulzberger Dermatology Award and membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed her dermatology residency at the NYU Medical Center, serving as chief resident and receiving the Morris Leider Award for excellence in dermatology.
Dr. Gruson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of numerous professional medical organizations, including the New York State Medical Society, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York. She has conducted research and published numerous scholarly articles on dermatology topics, including skin allergies, her area of expertise, and she has presented these findings at national medical conferences.
As a clinical assistant professor at the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Gruson teaches dermatology residents and also advises medical students who are considering the dermatology specialty.
Dr. Rebeca Teplitz is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She provides expert care for a diverse range of skin, hair, and nail conditions for patients of all ages.
Dr. Teplitz graduated magna cum laude from the George Washington University with a degree in cognitive neuroscience and a minor in business administration. She earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her internship in Family Medicine and her Dermatology Residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where she excelled as Chief Resident.
Dedicated to continuous learning and advancement in dermatology, Dr. Teplitz regularly contributes to research and has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. She serves on the editorial board for SKIN The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Teplitz also dedicates time to educating the next generation of dermatologists as a Clinical Instructor at NYU.
With a patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Teplitz focuses on creating personalized care plans that aim to boost confidence and comfort, while enhancing the natural beauty of her patients. Her commitment ensures every patient feels fully supported throughout their treatment journey, helping them meet their unique needs and goals.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Teplitz enjoys spending time with her family, practicing Pilates, and immersing herself in the vibrant culture of New York City. She stays up-to-date with the latest trends in dermatology and skincare to bring the most effective treatments to her patients.
