Matthew Hand, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist trained in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. He sees patients at Thomas Dermatology’s Centennial Hills and Post Road office in Las Vegas, and Henderson, Nevada.
He completed his medical education at the University of Washington, dermatologic training at the University of Utah, and Mohs and facial plastic surgical training with Dr. Chesnut in Spokane, Washington.
Dr. Hand is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has served as the associate director of the cosmetic surgical fellowship at Clinic 5C. Miriam S. Bettencourt, MD, is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Nevada, and an adjunct professor at Touro University. She practices medical and cosmetic dermatology and Mohs surgery at Thomas Dermatology’s Henderson, Nevada office location.
She started her medical career in Brazil and completed a residency in internal medicine and dermatology at the University of São Paulo, followed by a residency in family medicine and dermatology at Duke University, where she was selected as Chief Resident. Subsequently, she joined the University of South Florida as an assistant clinical professor and Associate Residency Program Director, Head of the Clinical Trials Division, and Chief of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
She has been practicing in Las Vegas since 2002. She is the founder and director of the Women Physicians Medical Society in Las Vegas and has participated in several committees of the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Bettencourt has been the investigator for multiple clinical trials, the moderator of several pharmaceutical advisory boards, and she is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker (over 1200 lectures) in medical dermatology, speaking about topics such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, actinic keratosis, tropical diseases, and others. During medical school, she completed an intensive clinical and research fellowship in Hidradenitis Suppurativa. She then went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Later, she returned to New York City to complete her advanced dermatology training at Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Stephanie McLeish is a Board-Certified Dermatologist with comprehensive experience in medical and surgical care. Dr. McLeish sees patients at Thomas Dermatology in Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Kingman, Arizona. Prior to obtaining her Dermatology training, she was an Internal Medicine physician. She served 20 years active duty in the United States Air Force.
Dr. McLeish was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, and spent her childhood on a farm in Costa Rica. She graduated from medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Keesler AFB Medical Center. Douglas Thomas, MD, FAAD, is the founder and Medical Director at Thomas Dermatology, with offices in Bullhead City, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, as well as two locations in Las Vegas and one in Henderson, Nevada. He boasts many years of experience treating people of all ages. His areas of expertise include pediatric and surgical dermatology, including skin cancer treatment.
Dr. Thomas grew up in Las Vegas and graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Summerlin, Nevada. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biology with honors from the University of San Diego in California.
He graduated with honors from medical school at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles (UCLA), where he also completed an internship in pediatrics and a residency in dermatology. Dr. Thomas was selected Chief Resident and appointed Assistant Clinical Professor.

Jennifer DePry, DO, FAAD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained, Mohs micrographic surgeon at Thomas Dermatology at their Post Road office location.
Dr. DePry received her Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience, cum laude, from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. She completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri.
She went on to complete a transitional year internship at St. John Providence Health System in Southfield, Michigan, and a residency in dermatology at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. There, she also completed a micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship and was named Academic Chief Resident.
Dr. DePry boasts strong clinical and research background in skin cancer, particularly in immunosuppressed individuals, including those who have undergone organ or hematopoietic cell transplantation. Offering advanced surgical reconstruction after skin cancer surgery is one of the most rewarding aspects of Dr. DePry’s career. Dr. Soliman is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Soliman’s interests include acne, hair loss, skin cancer, skin of color, cosmetics and surgical excision of benign and malignant lesions. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at national and international conferences.
She is committed to delivering evidence-based, individualized and compassionate care to her patients. Beyond her medical pursuits, Dr. Soliman is passionate about wellness, reading, traveling and spending quality time with her husband and family.
