A native of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada, and now a citizen of the United States, Dr. Humeniuk earned a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and his medical degree in 1977, both from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. After graduating, Dr. Humeniuk completed a rotating internship at the Manitoba Association of Teaching Hospitals in 1978 and a residency in dermatology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, in 1981.
Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Humeniuk moved to Greenville, South Carolina, and entered private practice in dermatology. Licensed to practice medicine in the state of South Carolina and board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Humeniuk serves a diverse patient population, treating a wide range of skin problems from uncomfortable skin rashes, acne, melasma, and eczema, to potentially dangerous skin cancers. Along with treating chronic diseases, such as psoriasis, Dr. Humeniuk provides a range of treatments that counter the damaging effects of the sun.
