Ali Hendi, MD, is a widely recognized skin cancer specialist who has been caring for patients in the Washington, DC area for over a decade. Tariq Nayfeh, MD/PhD, FAAOS, is a caring board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a specialty in joint replacements. Dr. Nayfeh sees patients at Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA, which has three locations in Silver Spring, Germantown, and Rockville, Maryland. 

As a joint replacement specialist, Dr. Nayfeh is experienced in all ranges of joint replacement, from simple minimally invasive replacements to the most complex revisions. He is proficient in the use of a wide variety of tools and techniques, with many at his disposal. His repertoire includes partial and total robotic knee replacements, as well as custom (Conformis) and cement-less knee replacements. Dr. Stranahan obtained his undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where he graduated with honors. Michael A. She went on to earn her medical degree at the University of West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. Dr. Cronin completed dual residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at Loyola University and Geisinger Health System, respectively.

Kirra L. Brandon, MD is board certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology, and provides care to patients of all ages at Easton Dermatology Associates, a leading dermatology practice in Easton, Maryland, that serves residents on the Delmarva Peninsula. Although Dr. Brandon offers medical skin care services to patients of any age, she specializes in pediatric dermatology. Her specific interests include vascular birthmarks, genetic skin disorders, and pediatric skin and laser surgery.

Dr. Brandon obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University, where she graduated with honors. She earned her medical degree at the University of Maryland Medical School, which is where she developed her interest in pediatric dermatology. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, followed by her residency in dermatology at Louisiana State University, also in New Orleans.

After finishing her residency, Dr. Brandon completed a year-long fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. When her fellowship concluded, Dr. Brandon stayed on at the hospital as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology.

Dr. Brandon is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She’s an active member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and has spoken at their national meeting, as well as several other regional conferences designed to educate pediatricians about pediatric skin conditions. Dr. Brandon has also authored multiple publications in dermatology and pediatrics journals.

As a native of Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Brandon was excited to return to the area with her husband, Gus, an ophthalmologist and fellow Maryland native, and their two young daughters. In her spare time, Dr. Brandon enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Omolara Olowoyeye, MD, MPH, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist at Radiance Dermatology, a premier cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatology practice in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Olowoyeye earned her bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental biology from the Ivy League Dartmouth College and later went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health degree.

She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Dermatology. She has authored multiple medical publications and has worked on various research projects in ethnic skin dermatology, keloids, skin aging, laser treatments, skin regeneration, and wound healing. Dr. Olowoyeye has called Washington, DC, and Maryland home for many years, from her years of medical training through clinical practice. Lorena Dollani M.D specializes in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dollani’s scope of practice includes medical dermatology for both children and adults, surgical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Dollani grew up in Massachusetts. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology, with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her M.D at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Dollani was also inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication.

Dr. Dollani then completed a rigorous five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her last year of training. During her residency she trained at Children’s National Medical Center, National Institutes of Health, and INOVA Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center. Dr. Dollani has presented at multiple state and national conferences and authored multiple manuscripts in scholarly journals in dermatology.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Dollani looks forward to treating patients of all ages at District Dermatology, by providing the highest quality evidence-based, patient centered medical care. Having trained in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Dollani has experience across both disciplines which aids in caring for patients with complex dermatologic illnesses. When not seeing patients, Dr. Dollani is an avid foodie and traveler. Along with her husband, she owns a small chocolate shop in Washington DC, where they curate chocolates from around the world. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old son.

Sanna Ronkainen, M.D, F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ronkainen is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, and earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation from Rice, she was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship--a grant to pursue research through travel in a topic of personal interest--studying type 1 diabetes. During her fellowship she traveled to Argentina, Tonga, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Tanzania. She returned to Washington, DC for medical school at Georgetown University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as recognition of her academic excellence.

Dr. Ronkainen then completed a five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where she participated in the global health track and served as Chief Resident during her final year. During her residency she was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and was inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her enthusiasm for teaching medical students.

Prior to joining District Dermatology, Dr. Ronkainen served as an assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and worked at the Medstar Washington Hospital Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. Ronkainen is delighted to serve her home community. She enjoys caring for patients with a wide variety of skin concerns and is committed to developing tailored treatment plans for each of her patients. Olivia Schenck, M.D., F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. She was born and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She attended Princeton University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology and certificate in Chinese Cultural Studies. She earned her M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for her academic achievements. She completed both her preliminary internal medicine residency and dermatology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. During her residency she received training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, and Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Prior to joining District Dermatology, Dr. Schenck served as an assistant professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology, seeing patients in clinic while teaching residents and medical students. During her time with the department, she served as the Medical Student Clerkship Director for Dermatology and served on the UVA Medical School Admissions Committee. During her years with the department, she earned Patient Experience Provider Awards for her commitment to exceptional quality in patient care. Dr. Schenck is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and has authored multiple manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals in dermatology.
