He revolutionized the treatment of early invasive and in-situ melanomas of the head and neck, and pioneered the utilization of intraoperative immunostaining to optimize cure rates. She performed an internship in internal medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and completed her residency in dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University, her alma mater.
