Dr. Chhabra was born in India and grew up in Bombay. He moved to the US in 1986 at age 13. Dr. Chhabra attended college at California State University, Northridge where he earned a B.S. in Cell Biology and an M.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology. He made lots of friends in LA, often while enjoying many outdoor activities; hiking and camping in Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks, cross country skiing in Yosemite, downhill skiing, and bungee jumping. Starting in July of 2024 Dr. Lew will be retiring from private practice and taking on a teaching role at New York University College of Dentistry in September. We would like to thank Dr. Lew for his over 20 years of hard and dedicated work, and we are proud to be entrusted in continuing the care of his patients. 

Dr. Spencer Lew is a New York City native. He received his B.A. degree in biology from Queens College  and his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from Columbia University. After completing a one year residency in general dentistry at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Lew returned to Columbia Dental School to complete the AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) program. He then spent two years in the sedation and anesthesia training program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Lew served as a clinical instructor on the faculty of the New York University College of Dentistry from 1997 – 1999. He became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 2001.

Dr. Raysa Perez first discovered her passion for dentistry fairly early in life, when she started a position as a dental assistant at the age of 17 in her home country, the Dominican Republic. That summer, her mother was involved in a serious car accident, and it affected her mother's confidence and self-esteem. As her mother underwent treatment, Dr. Perez was both a witness and participant in the magical transformation that returned the smile to her mother's face. It was during this time that she realized that dentistry was the profession she wanted to pursue. It was an extraordinary place where art and science converged to change lives.

In 2004 she completed the dental program and was honored to work side by side with the peers she had admired, in the office where her journey began.

Dr. Perez moved to the United States to begin a new journey; the passion to continue her career required resilience as she adapted to a new culture and language. She was determined to remain a dentist but knew she would need to earn accreditation all over again in her new home country. She began to work as a full-time employee in NY in NJ.

After an arduous period of studying, she passed the national board exams. She was subsequently accepted to Columbia University, where she completed her residency at NY Presbyterian Hospital. 

In her personal time, Dr. Perez enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is an active member of her church community. She loves to spend time reading the Bible and is thankful that she can fulfill her calling to serve others through her professional role as a dentist.

Yohan Kim, DMD, FICOI, practices general, cosmetic and implantation dentistry at Madison Dental Loft located in the Midtown South area of Manhattan in New York City.

Dr. Kim believes that great dental health and a great smile can have a huge impact on the lives of his patients. He is committed to providing his patients with the best, personalized treatment, supported by up-to-date dental knowledge and the latest technologies.

Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. He continued his training with a general practice residency at Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital in New York City. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry and a Clinical Professor in implant dentistry at Bellevue Hospital, both of which are in New York City. Dr. Alexander Kimon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, after graduating from New York University for his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Chemistry. His extensive research in basic science as a collegiate garnered him Harvard Medical School’s Paul Dudley White Fellowship to continue his research as a pre-doctoral dental student. While at Harvard, he won awards from the Northeastern Society of Periodontology and the Academy of Operative Dentistry honoring his clinical skills as a dentist, as well as the Harvard Odontological Society Award for Excellence in Research recognizing his efforts in promoting smoking cessation therapy internationally as an adjuvant to oral cancer prevention. Dr. Lizette Castillo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook - College of Dentistry. She is a Long Beach native, having graduated from Long Beach High School. She received a Bachelor's of Science from Stony Brook in Biology. She discovered her passion for dentistry when she was in college at Stony Brook, and started volunteering at Stony Brook Dental School. It was there that she saw the need for oral education and treatment. She also took on an internship in Temple Dental in summer of 2015 where she served inner city areas in North Philadelphia. There she was exposed to translating and helping patients with understanding their treatments. Before coming to Lasante Dental as a dentist, Dr. Castillo completed two years of residency at Jamaica Hospital- School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Castillo participated in the Stony Brook Outreach- South Dakota where she provided dental care for patients in need on an Indian reservation. She was part of a dental team that saw and treated patients that were mostly edentulous.

In addition to practicing, Dr. Castillo also enjoys serving the Fordham community with Fordham Community Church, the Hispanic Baptist Association of NY and NJ and serving in dental mission trips, she has already travelled Ecuador, Uruguay, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and trying out different foods.

Dr. Farha Zibak received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry, after which she completed her General Dentistry residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Zibak was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her passion for dentistry started when she pursued her bachelor's degree in biology at Stern College for Women.
