Meet Dr. Nassiri

Maryam Nassiri, DDS, is a skilled dentist serving patients from all over East Bay at Vivo Dental, which is conveniently located in Antioch, California. Dr. Nassiri specializes in family and cosmetic dentistry, catering to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

A San Jose native, Dr. Mendoza received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in biology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. He then graduated from one of the top dental schools in the country, the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Mendoza has special interests in Invisalign®, implant restoration, and restorative care and practices ethical and non-invasive dentistry. He is not only committed to maintaining and improving patient's oral health but is also concerned about their overall health. An integral part of that philosophy involves an emphasis on prevention and early detection, such as keeping decay to a minimum so patients can retain the majority of their natural tooth structure while also looking at the long term health of their mouth and teeth.

He stays up-to-date on the latest advancements in his field and is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Outside of work, Dr. Mendoza enjoys playing and watching sports such as basketball, football, and soccer. He also likes traveling, experiencing new cultures, cooking cuisines from around the world, and trying new foods. He loves to spend time with his Husky, Hiro.

Dr. Alok Arora, DMD, is excited to bring his passion for dentistry to his private practice, with office in Menlo Park, California, serving the residents of San Mateo County. Possessing a background in general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Arora is experienced in performing dental procedures gently and painlessly and will help you feel relaxed throughout your office visit.

He is committed to full transparency and mutual trust in his relationships with patients and patiently, thoroughly answers any questions or addresses any concerns. He is the founder and creator of a website-based “911 dental program” in Mumbai, India. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, watching sports, traveling, swimming, and trying new restaurants. He is proud to serve the greater San Mateo community at his practice.

Dr. Daniel B. Mendoza offers family-orientated, quality dentistry to residents of Redwood City, California. His love of the treatment side of dentistry has enabled him to serve the community for nearly 30 years at his practice, Daniel B. Mendoza & Associates. His proficiency in cosmetic dentistry is the reason for thousands of his patient’s beautiful smiles.

Before attending dental school, Dr. Mendoza graduated with honors from California State University in Fullerton. During his time in dental school, Dr. Mendoza served as a teacher’s aide.

In 1984, Dr. Mendoza graduated in the top 5% of his class at the University of California in San Francisco and became a member of the faculty. He’s been teaching and mentoring students for over 30 years. Dr. Mendoza teaches the art and science of dental morphology and occlusion, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry at UCSF’s Preventative and Restorative Dental Science department.

Dr. Mendoza also attained the position of Clinical Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences and lectured extensively on topics related to fixed prosthetics. He presently holds an appointment at UCSF as a Full Professor, Step 5.

Dr. Mendoza is the course director for both the crown and bridge curriculum and the dental morphology curriculum for which he wrote the textbook. He also helped create several courses aimed at providing dental professionals with the technique and material updates required to maintain an active dental license.

He has been an active member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society since his induction at graduation, and served as vice president in 2000 and president in 2001.

When he is not working, Dr. Mendoza loves to cycle, fly fish, and cook for his family.

Dr. Hokmabadi obtained his dental degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Because he has a passion for dentistry, he advocates for continued training even after dental school. For this reason, he has committed extensive time and resources to completing many advanced dental courses in implantology and precise implant placement – and has had his staff do the same.
