Dr. Steven Reff uses his extensive experience to provide the highest level of surgical care in a gentle, compassionate manner. He received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. While there, he graduated at the top of his class and was honored by his faculty by being inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthetic Honors Society. He also served as President on a variety of committees including the Dental School’s Global Outreach Program and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery study group.
Following dental school, Dr. Reff completed his surgical-based training at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Upon completing his training Dr. Reff began treating patients in private practice. He was also invited to take a position at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine teaching postgraduate candidates and future dentists and was additionally appointed admitting privileges.

Dr. Neetu Bhanushali is a compassionate and caring dentist who would go great lengths to make their patients comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. Frantz Backer, DDS, is a highly skilled cosmetic and implant dentist who’s been practicing since 2000. He provides patients with excellent oral health care at Advanced Dentistry of New York in Jackson Heights, Queens, and Brooklyn Heights, New York City.
After earning his dental degree in 1999 from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC, Dr. Backer completed a general residency in 2000. Before his dental career, he attended the Physician Assistant program at Touro College School of Health Sciences in Manhattan, New York City, and spent six years practicing general surgery.
Dr. Backer stays on top of all the latest trends and developments in dentistry with continuing educational studies and makes sure that his patients are always receiving the best care available in modern dentistry. Over the course of his career, he’s studied at numerous prestigious programs, including The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, The Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Backer takes a conservative, yet integrative, approach to dentistry. He believes in doing what’s right and best for his patients, and he never performs unnecessary procedures to make money. Dr. Andrew Sarowitz is the Clinical Coordinator and Director of Implant and Advanced Laser Dentistry at the Bronx Dental Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute. He also serves as part of the medical staff of the Brooklyn Nets as their Official Dentist. While not working with the NBA, Dr. Sarowitz is happy treating patients at his offices in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
He has built his reputation as an exceptional family dentist through expert cosmetic dentistry, pain-free surgical techniques, and a calming demeanor. Dr. Ilyayev was trained and educated in New York City, earning his DDS dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completing his residency at Woodhull Medical Center. Dr. Ilyayev is a third generation dentist following in the footsteps of his grandfather and uncle. He grew up with a strong passion for dentistry and expressed that passion in establishing Dr. I Dental. The doctors at Dr. I Dental are members of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the New York State Trooper Surgeons. We are committed to continuing education in order to stay on top of the latest dental developments to provide our patients with the best treatment options available. We have training in a wide range of dental specialties and are certified by Invisalign® for orthodontic treatments and by the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines for dental sleep medicine. Outside of our practice, we believe in giving back to the community and spend time helping people in need through community service activities. Services we offer include dental implants, crowns, fixed teeth, removable teeth, root canals, cosmetic dentistry, invisalign, fillings, veneers, teeth whitening, and preventative care.
